GAINESVILLE, Mo. -- KY3's Chad Plein and Photojournalist Tim Leimkuhler decided to take a trip to the eastern portion of the viewing area to see how bad the snowfall was Friday. Along the highway 60 corridor, Willow Springs had similar conditions to Springfield. The snow was accumulating in the grass, but the roads were wet. The duo then went south into West Plains. Once out of city limits, the roads were totally covered by snow; travel was slow. Heading west near Tecumseh, the KY3 car came across some young guys, trying to tow a stranded car along 160. The rear-wheel car couldn't navigate through the hilly, curves.

WILLOW SPRING, Mo. -- A lake southwest of Willow Springs is closed after someone apparently tried to drain out the water. Law enforcement in the Mark Twain National Forest are trying to figure out who is responsible. Stewart and Mindy Pringle baited their hooks and are making the best of a sad situation. They've fished Noblett Lake many times before, but never with this little water. "That's kind of selfish there. That's for sure. " Someone opened the gate on the dam to make Noblett Lake drain. The U.S. Forest Service says it was discovered last Wednesday.
