1 box of vanilla cake mix 1 teaspoon of baking powder 2 large eggs 1/2 cup of vegetable oil 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract 1 cup of sprinkles or chocolate chips Sift together dry ingredients. Mix together wet ingredients. Stir both together until evenly mixed. Fold in sprinkles. Drop spoonfuls onto sprayed cookie sheet bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow to cool for five minutes. Recipe makes 30-35 cookies.

8 ounces of your favorite chocolate chip 1 cup of heavy cream 2 tablespoons of sugar 4 egg yolks 1 teaspoon of vanilla In a medium sauce pan over medium-low heat, heat the heavy cream. Add the chocolate chips sugar. Stir until chocolate is completely melted, smooth and hot. Slowly stir chocolate mixture into bowl with egg yolks in it. Add vanilla. Pour into four separate serving dishes. Chill for 20 or more minutes. Recipe serves four.

10 slices of white bread, cut into cubes 1 cup of sliced strawberries 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 6 eggs 3/4 cup of white sugar 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon of salt 3 cups of liquid vanilla soft serve mix 1 pinch of ground nutmeg Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a medium baking dish. Spead out cut bread onto dish. In a medium bowl, combine sugar, eggs, soft serve, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and vanilla extract. Stir well. Spread sliced strawberries over cut bread.

4 cups of peeled, sliced Missouri apples (Jonathan, if possible) 2 cups of sugar 2 cup of flour 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda 2 teaspoons of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of salt 2 eggs, beaten 3/4 cup of oil 2 teaspoons of vanilla 1 cup of chopped pecans Stir together the apples and sugar. Add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add in the oil and vanilla. Stir into the apple mixture and add the chopped pecans.

6 large spring roll wrappers 3 bananas 3 ounces of chipped white chocolate 3 ounces of chopped pecans 3 ounces of carmel sauce 3 ounces of chocolate sauce 2 pints of vanilla bean ice cream 6 mint sprig Slice bananas into 4-inch sections and then in half. Lay bananas out on spring roll wrappers and sprinkle with white chocolate chips and chopped pecans. Fold in the ends and wrap up banana in wrapper; seal end with water. Deep fry, or shallow pan fry, until golden, about 2 minutes.

It’s Thursday, Aug. 21, from 6 - 9 p.m. at the White River Room at Bass Pro Shops’ Outdoor World Store. People will be able to sample food from several restaurants in Springfield.
