BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Arkansas knows it must beat both Alabama and LSU in the same year to go to the next level. The Southeastern Conference media predicts the Razorbacks to finish third for the second-straight season behind LSU and defending National Champion Alabama.  Auburn, Texas A&M, Mississippi State and Ole Miss follow the top three schools. Arkansas' high expectations start with the offense.  The SEC media chose quarterback Tyler Wilson, running-back Knile Davis and wide-receiver Cobi Hamilton to the all-SEC preseason first-team.  Offensive guard Alvin Bailey and linebacker Alonzo Highsmith earned second-team honors.  Punter Dylan Breeding placed on the third team.  LSU led the conference with 13 selections on the first three all-SEC teams.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Sheldon Richardson was Missouri's lone selection the All-SEC Football team as he made it on the First-Team Defense at Tackle. The 6'4, 295-pound junior has already announced his intention to enter the NFL Draft and will forego his senior season. Arkansas had a season fall well below expectations, but that didn't stop four Razorbacks from making it onto the various teams. Cobi Hamilton, a senior receiver, was a unanimous selection to the First-Team. Hamilton finished the season with 90 catches for 1,335 yards and five touchdowns.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - It's official. Sunday, the University of Missouri became the newest member of the Southeastern Conference.  Mizzou joins fellow Big 12 Conference school Texas A&M as the thirteenth and fourteenth members of the league. Missouri has capitalized on the move announced last fall.  Mizzou reports a jump in season tickets for the upcoming football by selling SEC packages.  The school has also marketed its brand throughout the south with billboards, an area rarely focused on by the school in the past.  The university's board of curators last week announced a $102 million facilities renovation upgrade.  It includes adding an additional 6,000 seats to Memorial Stadium.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Is no news good news? The University of Missouri curators closed meeting via teleconference Thursday morning produced no immediate decision on the school's fate in the Big 12 Conference.  University officials confirmed conference realignment was discussed, but it was not the focus. The Pac-12 Conference's decision this week not to expand may have forced the hands of the Big 12 schools.  Texas A&M is the only school in the Big 12 Conference to announce its intentions to leave.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Tigers are a win away from an improbable run into the NCAA Tournament. Kelly Fick threw seven scoreless innings, leading the eighth-seeded Tigers to a 2-1 victory over the Texas Longhorns and a Big 12 Tourney championship game berth on Sunday against the Texas A&M Aggies.  The Tigers (27-31) have to win the tournament to earn a selection to the NCAA Tournament. Missouri defeated the top-seeded Longhorns (43-15) twice in the conference tournament.  Mizzou defeated the two-seeded Aggies twice in the regular season.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala - The Missouri Tigers are getting some respect in the inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference. The SEC media picked Mizzou to finish fourth in the Eastern Division race.  The writers chose Georgia, South Carolina and Florida ahead of Missouri.  Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Kentucky round out the division.  The media selected LSU to win the overall championship.
