COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Mizzou has yet to finish its first season as a member of the Southeastern Conference , but it already knows next season's football schedule. The Missouri Tigers will play host to SEC powers Florida , South Carolina , Tennessee, and former Big 12 rival Texas A&M. Mizzou will travel to Vanderbilt , Georgia , Kentucky , and Ole Miss . The schedule will include two Saturdays on which the Tigers don't play. The schedule does not include border rival Arkansas . The two schools discussed the possibility of becoming permanent rivals. In a news release, the university said, "The 2013 schedule is considered a 'bridge' schedule and not based on any other previous or future scheduling formats. The SEC Athletics Directors will convene in Spring 2013 to begin formulating schedules for the 2014 season and beyond.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Walk around the University of Arkansas campus on game day and you will likely see several #8 jerseys. Quarterback Tyler Wilson wears the #8 jersey on offense. But freshman Tevin Mitchel, who also wears the #8 jersey on defense, is making headlines too. "That guys a good player," said Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino. "So he played hard, he tackled well, he made some huge plays on special teams. " Cornerback Tevin Mitchel had his breakout game of his young career Saturday against Texas A&M. He recorded a Southeastern Conference weekend-best 13 tackles, nine of those unassisted. Mitchel also recovered a fumble during the Hogs second-half comeback.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Will the Arkansas Razorbacks take the next step in the Bobby Petrino-era. The Hogs ranked 14th in the preseason USA Today coaches's poll. The Oklahoma Sooners earned the top spot. The Southeastern Conference has a total of eight teams ranked in the top 25, five from the SEC-West. Arkansas will play six teams ranked in the preseason poll, including a non-conference date in October against no. 9 Texas A&M. ...

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The value of the Arkansas Razorbacks football program is rising on-and-off the field. Forbes Magazine estimates the Razorbacks' program to be valued at $89 million. That is a 59% increase since the last ranking in 2009. Then the program was valued at $56 million. "The growth has been made by a combination of factors including our athletic success, increased television and multi-media rights revenues as well as additional revenue generated by the Southwest Classic, R.S.V.P.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Is this the year Texas A&M University bolts the Big 12 Conference? Texas A&M officials have scheduled a news conference for Monday afternoon to announce their intentions to stay or leave for the Southeastern Conference. If the Aggies leave, who's next. The University of Missouri is one of three other schools the SEC would reportedly like to add with Texas A&M. Atlantic Coast Conference schools Clemson and Florida State the other two. However, Mike Alden is denying any talks.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Mizzou's winning streak stretches to seven games. Senior guard Kim English scored 21 points to lead the No. 3 Missouri Tigers (25-2, 12-2) to a 71-62 victory Saturday at Texas A&M (13-13, 4-10). Mizzou swept its soon-to-be rival in the Southeastern Conference. Missouri survived a late run by Texas A&M. The aggies cut the lead to five points with an Elston Turner 3-pointer with 1:22 remaining. After a Mizzou turnover, the Aggies had a chance to cut that lead to a single possession. David Loubeau was called for a charging foul, after his drive to the lane was cut-off by Steve Moore. Senior guard Marcus Denmon's three-pointer on the following possession extended Mizzou's lead to eight points, sealing the victory.

DALLAS, Tx. - 11 minutes, 26 seconds doesn't seem like a long time. However, in basketball, it seems like an eternity to go scoreless from the field for that long. The Arkansas Razorbacks gave up a late second half lead, losing in overtime 71-62 to the No. 25 Texas A&M Aggies Saturday afternoon in Dallas. Rotnei Clarke led the Hogs with 14 points. Khris Middleton scored a career-high 31 points to lead the Aggies. "Both teams fought and competed hard," said Arkansas head coach John Pelphrey.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The first few minutes told the story for the rest of the night for Mizzou fans. David Loubeau and B.J. Holmes each scored 20 points, leading the Texas A&M Aggies (24-7) to an 86-71 quarterfinals victory over the Missouri Tigers (23-10) in the Big 12 Tournament. The Tigers shot just 2-18 from the field for the first 13 minutes of the game shooting. A higher percentage from the free throw line kept the Aggies from running away from Mizzou early. The Tigers trailed 46-33 after the first 20 minutes.
