BRANSON, Mo. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to maintain the release from Table Rock Dam at 20,000 cubic feet per second throughout the day and as long as it takes to reach the 920 (feet above sea) level, which is uncertain at this time. The Corps said water was still being released from Beaver Dam at 16,000 cfs, and that water will take about eight hours to reach Table Rock Dam. The amount of total inflow from all sources into Table Rock on Monday morning was about 40,000 cfs. The level of Table Rock Lake at 9 a.m. was 930.14. Corps officials say the lake will continue dropping if no additional rain falls. Table Rock can still accept 3-4 more feet.

Thousands of people went to the lake not to enjoy the scenery ...But to clean it up. The annual No More Trash Bash event took place at Table Rock Lake. Volunteers picked up trash all over the shores. Workers say thanks to low lake levels they are able to pick up more trash because more of the shoreline is exposed. Thousands of bags were collected in hopes of prepping the area for the busiest time of the year, vacation season. Volunteers also walked around busy highways picking up trash.

BRANSON, Mo. -- Visitors are getting a new way to experience breathtaking views of Table Rock Lake. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is putting the final touches on its new Dewey Short Visitors Center. It's just south of the dam on a bluff overlooking the water. The facility includes observation decks, along with a museum highlighting the natural and cultural heritage of the Ozarks. It replaces the current visitors center built in the 1970s, which the Corps says is outdated. A ribbon cutting for the new multi-million dollar facility is set for April 27. "It is one of 11 Class A visitors centers in the United States, so it's a pretty impressive building," said Gala Solari of the Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation. "The entire back of the building is glass. You can see both lakes from the upper deck; you can see clear across the dam to Lake Taneycomo.
