TODAY Near 70 Becoming mostly cloudy TONIGHT 60s Mostly cloudy; a few storms mainly north of Highway 60 TUESDAY Mid 80s Partly cloudy and very windy.  Severe storms likely by evening/overnight. 12-hour forecast 24-hour forecast Satellite & Radar Wind Chill Allergy Index Almanac Clouds simply haven't been as widespread as expected so far today, and temperatures are warming quickly.  Moisture has really come up since this morning too with dew points now in the middle and upper 50s.  Thus, instability is building and there is some potential for a few storms this afternoon.  The best chance will be tonight along and north of a cold front stalled over central Missouri.  This front will move north tonight and bring a very warm and windy day on Tuesday.  With ample moisture in place, instability will be high by late afternoon.  Thunderstorms should erupt along a cold front over western Missouri or perhaps close to Highway 65 by early evening, then expand as they move east.  Severe weather is likely with these storms with very large hail and high winds the main threats.  The wind shear is not forecast to be all that high in terms of direction...

TONIGHT 40s Scattered showers, isolated thunder SATURDAY 60s A few very early showers, then clearing.  Very windy and warm. SUNDAY 50s Partly cloudy 12-hour forecast 24-hour forecast 7-Day Forecast Wind Chill Satellite & Radar Almanac Good evening!  A few showers are trying to get going and move into the Ozarks, but so far the very dry air isn't allowing much to survive.  The main part of the storm system is well to our west, and our chance of rain will improve as the evening wears on and richer moisture arrives.  This is, of course, relative to what we have now, which isn't much.  In fact, instability will be slim to none so it may be difficult to come by much thunder tonight.  Severe weather is not expected.  The wind fields aloft will increase dramatically as we head through tonight, and as the south wind increases near the surface in response, temperatures will drop to the middle 40s and then hold steady or slowly rise toward dawn.  Drier air aloft will move tomorrow and clear the sky from west to east.  With a strong low-level jet stream remaining, the wind is going to howl on Saturday and may gust close to 40 mph.  This will in turn boost our temperatures into the lower and perhaps even middle 60s.  A secondary front will drop in on Sunday and bring...
