FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - 64 yards.  That's it.  That's the total yards the Arkansas Razorbacks rushed for a season ago in a 24-20 loss at home against the then No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide.   That was last year. "We're excited about our preparation for the Alabama game," said Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino.  "They're a very good defensive football team, basically the same guys we played last year. " Alabama exploited Arkansas' one-dimensional offense a season ago.  The Bama defense teed-off on quarterback Ryan Mallett in the second-half, forcing him to make bad decisions.  Arkansas' running game regrouped after that loss.  All-Southeastern Conference tailback Knile Davis carried the load last season becoming one of the country's best.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The race to replace Arkansas Razorbacks record-setting quarterback Ryan Mallett is tighter than fans and college football pundits first thought. Redshirt-junior Tyler Wilson was the backup last year.  Redshirt-sophomore Brandon Mitchell is fighting to keep Wilson the backup this next season.  The winner will definitely earn it. "We allowed the defense to throw a lot of blitzes," said Head Coach Bobby Petrino.  "All of that is for the quarterbacks. " Wilson has always been the likely successor among fans.  The spotlight shined on Wilson last season in a loss to Auburn.  Wilson threw 332 yards and four touchdowns in about two and a half quarters.  That's now the expectations for the Greenwood, Arkansas native in the high-powered Bobby Petrino offense.  Wilson did not disappoint in the first scrimmage of the Spring.  He was an efficient 21-34 for 249 yards and three touchdowns.  He did throw one interception.
