ROGERSVILLE, Mo. -- For the last month, 27 families in the Oakcrest Mobile Home Park have been surviving without running water. Now the local fire department has been called in to help. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, firefighters with the Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District haul 9,000 gallons of water out to the trailer park. "It usually takes two to three hours just to get three loads delivered out there," said Firefighter Kevin Grizzle. The supply only lasts a few hours before the well on the property is once again dry. "We really don't know. We're waiting on the man in control of the well, which is Ken Boyer," said Gala Carrier, one of the landowners in the Oakcrest neighborhood. Three weeks ago, Ken Boyer, the well manager, told KY3 News that he would have the well repaired within a day or two. However, residents said Monday there had been no signs of progress.

AURORA, MO - The Aurora Houn Dawgs could take comfort in the fact that it took the eventual state champions in Class 3 last year, Logan-Rogersville, to knock them out of the playoffs. And with their top offensive and defensive player, Everett Basham, returning for his senior season, Aurora is looking for another strong run this season. Head Coach - Rick Scholten, 5th season 2011 record: 6-5 (lost to Class 3 state champion Rogersville in first round) Returning starters: 11 Players to watch: RB-LB Everett Basham, QB Clayton Sumners, OL-DL Jed Ormsby Basham was an all-state linebacker last year and as a runningback, rushed for over 1.500 yards. He along with returning quarterback Clayton Sumners and a pair of all-conference receivers give the Houn Dawgs a strong line-up at the skill positions, but fifth year head coach Rick Scholten has concerns about how effective they can be because of his offensive line.

MARSHFIELD, Mo. -- Webster County Sheriff Roye Cole says a murder suspect who's been on the lam for more than two months was arrested in the Phoenix, Ariz., area. Dewayne Layton of Rogersville is one of three people who were charged in February for the death of Billy Harris of Springfield. Harris disappeared on Jan. 15. Investigators think Layton, 43, shot Harris at a home at 94 Corner Road, south of Rogersville because of a disagreement over a vehicle. Investigators think Alfred Clevenger, 47, and Kevin Layton, 40, who lived at the home with Dewayne Layton, were all present during the murder and then hid the body in a wooded area north of Rogersville. Clevenger and Kevin Layton told detectives that Dwayne Layton left Missouri a couple of weeks after the murder, possibly headed for California.

MARSHFIELD, Mo. -- A man wanted for a murder near Rogersville has been captured in the Phoenix, Ariz., area. Investigators believe Dewayne Layton shot and killed Billy Harris in an argument over a truck. Investigators think Harris, 28, was murdered in mid-January but his body wasn't found until late February in a wooded area north of Rogersville. Layton's brother, Kevin, and another man, Alfred Clevenger, are charged as accomplices. Webster County Sheriff Roye Cole says both helped Layton clean up the crime scene -- their home south of Rogersville -- and bury the murder weapon A woman who says she witnessed the murder helped investigators break the case. Cole says Clevenger and Kevin Layton said Dewayne Layton left Missouri a couple of weeks after the murder, possibly headed to California.
