SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Quick thinking on Monday morning by employees of some businesses led to a quick arrest after back-to-back robbery attempts. The Deals store near Sunshine and Campbell was the first to call 911 and report an attempted robbery just after 11:00 a.m. Witnesses told police that a woman in her 50s or 60s came in and showed a weapon to the cashier. She was unsuccessful in getting cash. When she left, employees called police....

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - A suspect in the robbery of a Joplin bank two weeks ago has been arrested with his wife for the alleged robbery of a bank in North Dakota. The Associated Press reports Johnny Patrom, of Springfield, and his wife Amanda Patrom, are accused of holding up a bank on the campus of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks last Friday. Johnny Patrom is from Springfield, but has also lived in Carl Junction in recent years. The AP reports the couple has been ordered held without bond.

LAQUEY, Mo. - Deputies have arrested a Laquey man suspected in the Sunday armed robbery of a Richland store. Cory N. Trotter, 20, was taken into custody in the 26900 block of Starbust Lane in Laquey on an active warrant charging him with first-degree robbery, authorities said. Trotter was taken to the Pulaski County Jail, where he was held on $500,000 bond. Trotter's father, Tony J. Trotter, 53, of Waynesville, was also taken into custody. The elder Trotter was wanted on warrants for probation violation from two DWI cases.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Crime Stoppers and the Springfield Police Department ask for help identifying the man who robbed a Rapid Robert's store at 1655 S. Kansas Expressway on March 10 at 10:23 p.m. The robber showed a small black handgun and demanded money from the clerk. No photos or video is available. The robber is described as black, 5-feet to 5-feet-5 and around 130 pounds. He was wearing sunglasses, gloves, a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and a white mask over the lower half of his face. A silver colored Taurus was seen leaving the area soon after the robbery but police don't know if it's related to the robbery.

JOPLIN -- Charges have been filed against a Springfield man who has been on the run from Joplin police. Investigators say Stephen Agee used a gun to hold up a Disabled American Veterans' Thrift Store earlier this month. Agee, 49, now faces charges of first degree armed robbery and armed criminal action in Jasper County. The suspect is still on the loose and officers say he is considered dangerous.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man from Republic pleaded guilty on Friday for seven crimes related to a robbery that resulted in the death of a 98-year-old woman last summer. Springfield, Mo. -- Springfield Police are searching for a man who robbed a gas station clerk at gunpoint. The holdup happened just before five this morning at the Kum and go at Sunshine and Fort. Officers believe the bandit is in his 20's. He threatened the clerk with a handgun, then demanded cash and alcohol before running out of the store. The clerk was not hurt.

GAINESVILLE, Mo. -- The Ozark County Sheriff's Department says a teenager was shot in the arm while he and three other people were trying to rob a marina on Norfork Lake on Sunday afternoon. Investigators believe the three males and one female stole a synthetic marijuana product (often called K2 or Spice) from Udall Marina, and the teenager was shot while they were fleeing. A news release on Sunday says the shooting victim is 17 years old. He is being treated at the hospital in West Plains. The other three suspects were arrested and could face charges.

Waynesville police continue to search for credit union robbery suspect WAYNESVILLE, Mo. - Police in Waynesville are still searching for a man they say robbed a credit union 12 days ago, and have released photos of the suspect in an attempt to capture him. The Mid-Missouri Credit Union, 1300 Historic 66 West in Waynesville, was robbed Aug. 17 at 12:45 p.m., according to police. Police say a black male carrying a blue tote type bag with a BDU camouflage shirt over his arm approached a teller and demanded money.
