BRANSON, Mo., --  Branson police are investigating a report of an armed robbery at the Westgate Resort, on 220 Roark Valley Road, that happened early yesterday morning. Police say a man with a T-shirt around his face approached three people sitting at a picnic table around 2:15a.m.       According to police, the suspect displayed a handgun and told the victims to leave the area and leave their belongings behind. He took a woman's purse and electronics that included an iPod and cellphone.

Lebanon, MO -    A man sits in the Laclede County jail, accused of robbing a Lebanon bank. Police tell KY3 News he went into the Commerce Bank Tuesday afternoon and gave a teller a note demanding cash.  He ran down Commercial Street and was arrested in the parking lot of a motel.  Police thank citizens who helped them by pointing out where the suspect was running.  Police say he is expected to face federal charges.  No one was hurt in the holdup....

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police are searching for a man who robbed a business early Thursday and tried to rob another one shortly before that.  The first happened around 1:45 a.m. at the McDonald's restaurant on Battlefield Road at Kansas Expressway.  The clerk told police that a man in his 20s, pulled up to the drive-through window and demanded cash at gunpoint.  The employee said no and the man drove away. About seven minutes later, officers were called to an armed robbery at the Kum & Go store on  National Avenue at Battlefield Road.  Police say a man matching the description of the one at McDonald's walked in, grabbed a fountain drink, then pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash.  He ran off with some money.

ROLLA, Mo. -- A man and a woman are charged with robbing a convenience store on Sept. 1.  Rolla police arrested Robert Walker, 42, and Dawn McClain, 32, last Friday afternoon at their home in Rolla.  Phelps County prosecutors charged them on Monday. Edited news release from Rolla Police Department: On Sept. 1 at approximately 9:40 p.m., the Rolla Police Department received a 911 call about an armed robbery just occurred at the Delano Convenience Store, 101 E. Missouri 72.  Store employees said a man dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt, khaki cargo style pants, a dark colored ski mask and gloves robbed the clerk at gunpoint.  The robber fled on foot.  Officers searched but didn't find him. The robber got away with cash.  He also sprayed the clerk in the face with mace.

Saturday morning Nixa Police say two men robbed the Village Mart gas station at 229 South Village Center. Police say two men confronted the clerk, one showed a handgun.  Police report says one man had a dark blue and white striped shirt and walked with a cane.  The other was wearing a pink shirt; both appeared to be over the age of 40. SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Police are looking for the man who held up the Walgreens at Campbell and Battlefield Wednesday morning. Investigators say the man walked into the store around 3:30 showed a knife and got away with cash and pills.  No one was hurt. Officers are checking the store's surveillance video.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Springfield police are searching for the man who they say tried to rob the Dollar General store at 1726 S. Kansas Expressway at knifepoint. Officers say the suspect walked into the store, pulled a knife on the cashier and demanded monye from the register.  When the cashier refused to open the cash drawer, the man fled on foot. No one was hurt in the incident.  Police are still gathering information as the search for the suspect continues.

Two people were arrested Sunday morning following an armed robbery at a Springfield convenience store. It happened shortly before 4 o'clock at the Snak-Atak on South Scenic. Police say the clerk told them a man and woman entered the store, pointed a handgun at him and demanded cash. After collecting the money, the couple ran away on foot. Officers caught up with them within minutes about three blocks south of the store. They were arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Police say they're hopeful security video will help them track down a man who held up a Springfield convenience store. The armed robbery happened around 11:30 Sunday night at the Signal station near Campbell and Broadmoor. Officers say a man in his early 20's walked into the store, pulled a mask over his face, then demanded money from the cashier at knifepoint. Once the clerk handed over the cash, the man took off on foot. No one was hurt. In a separate incident, police are searching for a man who stole items from a home in east Springfield.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man from Springfield received a 60-year prison sentence on Thursday for breaking into a home and robbing a father and his two young daughters.  A jury convicted Ramone Hicks, 25, last March. Hicks has six previous felony convictions for distribution of a controlled substance, drug trafficking, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest, escape from confinement and forgery.  After being in prison for those felonies, Hicks was paroled on July 2, 2010.  On Sept.

AVA, Mo. -- A woman from West Plains received a 20-year prison sentence for killing and robbing a man from Caulfield.  A jury convicted Heather Bennett, 24, last May for second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. Investigators said Bennett and Daniel Baird, 26, ran over Jackie Yarber, 29, with his own truck on Oct. 6, 2011, and then drove away from the murder scene in the victim's truck.  Yarber's body was found along a Howell County road. The case was moved from Howell County to Douglas County to try to ensure a fair outcome.  Baird's trial is scheduled for December in Phelps County, where it was moved for the same reason.  He's charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

MARIONVILLE, Mo. - A would-be robber targeted the wrong store. The robber, seen in security video but not identified yet, pulled a gun trying to rob the Beer 30 liquor store in Marionville on Sunday evening. But instead of a fistful of cash, he had a gun pulled on him in return. The clerk quickly pushed the man's gun off to the side and pulled his own 9mm weapon, pointing it in his face. The robber apparently didn't know the clerk would be armed -- and that he served four tours in Iraq, and worked as a former prison guard and undercover investigator.

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. -- On Thursday at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers received information from the St. Charles Police Department to watch for a gold Mercury Sable with Missouri temporary tags.  The occupants of the vehicle were suspects in a bank robbery in St. Charles. On Friday around 10:30 a.m., Osage Beach police officers saw what they believed to be the vehicle turn into the Wendy's parking lot in Osage Beach.  The occupants matched the bank robbers' description. The man, who was driving, exited the vehicle.  The woman was still in the vehicle.   She is Tara Grippe, 24, of St. Louis.  The man, Matthew Holleran, 37, slipped away after exiting the vehicle.  Grippe was arrested on unrelated fraud warrants in the St. Louis area.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Two robbers terrorized workers at a fast food restaurant on Sunday night.  One employee was treated at at a hospital.  Kyle Spence says the armed robbers showed up just before midnight, and he says his injury was no accident. Police say two men wearing hoods approached a female employee who was outside the McDonald's restaurant on North Kansas Expressway.  In an interview on Monday, Spence said his co-worker was on a smoke break and he was doing dishes.  "One guy had a pistol.  One guy had a rifle, and they were just holding her hostage.  'Get down, get down on the ground.  Get down on the ground.'  I went to get down on the ground, and I heard a ringing, and I felt a pain, and fell onto my hands like this and just onto the floor and was bleeding profusely," Spence said.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Police in Springfield are searching for a 26-year-old man charged in connection with a shooting near Glendale High School on Friday. Tyrone Hickman, Jr., is charged with assault, armed criminal action and attempted robbery in Friday's shooting near Glendale High School. Police also said three young people broke into Fewell's home early Wednesday morning and stole several items, including gaming systems, games and a laptop. Several of those items were recovered.

REPUBLIC, Mo. - A man is in custody after police say he robbed a loan business in Republic on Wednesday. Republic police in a news release said officers responded to Empire Finance in the 800 block of East U.S. Highway 60 for a reported robbery. A person working there told police that a man dressed in a stocking cap and black jacket showed a note that said he had a gun and demanded money. The man got away with cash, but was captured within 30 minutes of the 911 call, according to the news release.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A Republic teen faces a felony armed robbery charge after authorities say he stole money from an old friend in a grocery store parking lot, then displayed a weapon and got away. Austin J. Eutsler, 17, is charged with one count of first-degree robbery stemming from an incident in the parking lot of the Walmart Neighborhood Market on West Republic Road on Sunday afternoon. According to court documents, Eutsler met an old friend in the parking lot to borrow $20. Eutsler then walked up to the driver's side window as the man pulled a $20 bill from a bank envelope that had $457 inside.

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. - A 91-year-old man from Pulaski County is hospitalized a week after he was assaulted during a robbery at his home.  The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department says the man was alone at his home last week when several people broke into his home and began stealing property. The man was then beaten during the robbery. Deputies say a friend of the man found him at his home.  He was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Springfield and spent several days in intensive care.  Deputies said Friday that the man remains hospitalized but his condition is slowly improving.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man from Springfield is charged with stealing two pairs of athletic shoes from a store at Battlefield Mall last Saturday.  During the robbery, the thief pulled a gun on a store employee who was trying to detain him. Robert Ruffner, 32, is charged with robbery, a felony that could get him a prison sentence between 10 and 30 years, and theft, a misdemeanor.  He's in the Greene County jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.  Prosecutors...
