BRANSON, Mo., --  Branson police are investigating a report of an armed robbery at the Westgate Resort, on 220 Roark Valley Road, that happened early yesterday morning. Police say a man with a T-shirt around his face approached three people sitting at a picnic table around 2:15a.m.       According to police, the suspect displayed a handgun and told the victims to leave the area and leave their belongings behind. He took a woman's purse and electronics that included an iPod and cellphone.

Lebanon, MO -    A man sits in the Laclede County jail, accused of robbing a Lebanon bank. Police tell KY3 News he went into the Commerce Bank Tuesday afternoon and gave a teller a note demanding cash.  He ran down Commercial Street and was arrested in the parking lot of a motel.  Police thank citizens who helped them by pointing out where the suspect was running.  Police say he is expected to face federal charges.  No one was hurt in the holdup....

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police are searching for a man who robbed a business early Thursday and tried to rob another one shortly before that.  The first happened around 1:45 a.m. at the McDonald's restaurant on Battlefield Road at Kansas Expressway.  The clerk told police that a man in his 20s, pulled up to the drive-through window and demanded cash at gunpoint.  The employee said no and the man drove away. About seven minutes later, officers were called to an armed robbery at the Kum & Go store on  National Avenue at Battlefield Road.  Police say a man matching the description of the one at McDonald's walked in, grabbed a fountain drink, then pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash.  He ran off with some money.

Saturday morning Nixa Police say two men robbed the Village Mart gas station at 229 South Village Center. Police say two men confronted the clerk, one showed a handgun.  Police report says one man had a dark blue and white striped shirt and walked with a cane.  The other was wearing a pink shirt; both appeared to be over the age of 40. SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Police are looking for the man who held up the Walgreens at Campbell and Battlefield Wednesday morning. Investigators say the man walked into the store around 3:30 showed a knife and got away with cash and pills.  No one was hurt. Officers are checking the store's surveillance video.

Two people were arrested Sunday morning following an armed robbery at a Springfield convenience store. It happened shortly before 4 o'clock at the Snak-Atak on South Scenic. Police say the clerk told them a man and woman entered the store, pointed a handgun at him and demanded cash. After collecting the money, the couple ran away on foot. Officers caught up with them within minutes about three blocks south of the store. They were arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail.

ROLLA, Mo. -- A man and a woman are charged with robbing a convenience store on Sept. 1.  Rolla police arrested Robert Walker, 42, and Dawn McClain, 32, last Friday afternoon at their home in Rolla.  Phelps County prosecutors charged them on Monday. Edited news release from Rolla Police Department: On Sept. 1 at approximately 9:40 p.m., the Rolla Police Department received a 911 call about an armed robbery just occurred at the Delano Convenience Store, 101 E. Missouri 72.  Store employees said a man dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt, khaki cargo style pants, a dark colored ski mask and gloves robbed the clerk at gunpoint.  The robber fled on foot.  Officers searched but didn't find him. The robber got away with cash.  He also sprayed the clerk in the face with mace.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Springfield police are searching for the man who they say tried to rob the Dollar General store at 1726 S. Kansas Expressway at knifepoint. Officers say the suspect walked into the store, pulled a knife on the cashier and demanded monye from the register.  When the cashier refused to open the cash drawer, the man fled on foot. No one was hurt in the incident.  Police are still gathering information as the search for the suspect continues.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Police say they're hopeful security video will help them track down a man who held up a Springfield convenience store. The armed robbery happened around 11:30 Sunday night at the Signal station near Campbell and Broadmoor. Officers say a man in his early 20's walked into the store, pulled a mask over his face, then demanded money from the cashier at knifepoint. Once the clerk handed over the cash, the man took off on foot. No one was hurt. In a separate incident, police are searching for a man who stole items from a home in east Springfield.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Quick thinking on Monday morning by employees of some businesses led to a quick arrest after back-to-back robbery attempts. The Deals store near Sunshine and Campbell was the first to call 911 and report an attempted robbery just after 11:00 a.m.  Witnesses told police that a woman in her 50s or 60s came in and showed a weapon to the cashier.  She was unsuccessful in getting cash.  When she left, employees called police....

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Police say a customer at a convenience store in west Springfield foiled an armed robbery attempt there early this morning. According to Springfield police, two men approached the Kum 'N' Go at 2506 West College Street at 4:11 a.m., with one entering the store and the other standing outside by the door. The man who went inside displayed a firearm and told the clerk the store was being held up. A customer inside the store -- a 26-year-old man -- disarmed the man, police said.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police are looking for two people involved in an apparent attempted robbery at a Walgreens store in east Springfield. The cashier on duty said two people wearing red bandanas entered the Walgreens at 2640 E. Sunshine St. just after 4 a.m., and one of them displayed a gun. The two asked where the manager was, but the cashier told them the manager was in the back. The two then ran out of the store without taking anything, according to the cashier. Security footage containing images of the two have been turned over to Springfield police.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - They drove in, hopped out, and pulled off their crime in a just  minutes.  That's what Randy Hyde sees as he watches surveillance video of four  thieves loading up dozens of heavy wooden pallets stored at Hiland Dairy.  Hyde believes this footage may hold the clues police need to eventually catch the culprits. Hiland is just one businesses now using state-of-the-art cameras capturing nearly crystal-clear images of what's going on. "The quality is so much better," said Hyde, director of human resources at Hiland.  "We had an old system that had been in place for quite a  few years and you just couldn't hardly make out anything in the cameras.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man is charged for one of three recent robberies of pharmacies in the city.  Matthew Q. Robinson, 22, could also be charged for the other two robberies of Walgreens stores, as well as one in Nixa. Police say they arrested Robinson about 11 p.m. Wednesday.  He was charged with first-degree pharmacy robbery and armed criminal action on Thursday. The robberies were on Oct. 24, Nov. 12 and Dec. 11 last year at the Walgreens stores at 2951 S. Campbell Ave., and 2640 E. Sunshine St.  Springfield detectives are also working with the Nixa Police Department about a related robbery at the Walgreens store in Nixa last Jan. 15. Robinson is charged for the holdup in October.  Police will present probable cause statements to prosecutors about the additional cases.

ROLLA, Mo. -- A man demanded money and got some from a credit union over the noon hour on Friday.  The robbery was at the Rolla Federal Credit Union, 1012 Forum Drive, about 12:28. The robber, who is black, was dressed in a light colored waist length coat, light colored dress shirt, and light colored dress style. SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Springfield's Uniform Crime Report (UCR) for 2012 shows an overall rise in reported crime in Springfield of 2.39, compared to 2011.   The report also shows a 28.25-percent drop in theft from vehicles, helping fuel a negligible overall increase of .60 percent for all property crimes.  There was a 22.21-percent increase in crimes against persons in 2012. SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police are looking for three men after a man was robbed on the roadside in southeast Springfield Tuesday night. The incident happened around 11 o'clock on Evans Road--near highway 65. Police say the victim was working on his car, when another vehicle pulled up. The three men inside asked if the victim needed help, then one of the men hit him in the back of the head. As a fight ensued, the other two men ransacked the victim's car. No word yet on exactly what was taken.
