SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The former girlfriend of a murdered man from Rogersville changed her appearance but that didn't prevent her arrest.  State troopers and Springfield police officers arrested April Guy about 11:55 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Lynn Street at Kansas Expressway in Springfield. Guy was charged on Wednesday in Webster County with second-degree murder for the death of Russell Lawson.  His mother found his body in his home in Rogersville on Monday morning.  Her bond is set at $500,000.

JOPLIN, Mo.-- A man who has been wanted for murder since 1984 has been arrested. The murder took place in Joplin. FBI agents arrested Paul Moses in San Diego on federal charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. A felony murder warrant for Moses had been on the books since shortly after the killing of Frances Ramsey on August 11, 1984. She was found in an unoccupied duplex that was being remodeled. Moses will be held in San Diego until an extradition to Missouri is worked out.

STONE COUNTY, Mo., --   A man from Crane is scheduled to stand trial next year in the shooting death of a man from Hurley. Timothy Seaman has been charged with first degree murder in the death of David Dulin. The Stone County prosecutor says the trial date has been set for April 9th. Police say Seaman's DNA was found at the scene, and he was linked to a weapon found at Dulin's home the night Dulin was shot. Originally, Zachery Stewart was convicted of this murder, but the Missouri Supreme Court threw out his conviction.

GALENA, Mo. -- The three suspects in the death of Carl Anderson have all pleaded not guilty to charges of murder. Online court documents show that Teri Dean-Morrison, Cheryl Crawford and Eugene Crider made their pleas before a judge on Tuesday.  Dean-Morrison and Crawford are charged with second-degree murder, while Crider faces first-degree murder for the disappearance and death of Anderson, who was from the Highlandville area. Detectives found the victim's blood and receipts for cleaning supplies at a home the suspects shared.  Anderson's remains were found near Reeds Spring.

Forsyth, Mo ---  Dusty Hicks and Tony Friend both pleaded not guilty before a judge and emotional family members. Dusty Hicks and Tony Friend stood before a judge separately.  This was their first court appearance for the case. They were only in the courtroom for a few minutes. Both pleaded not guilty to all counts including murder, weapons, and restraint charges. Family members of Hicks and Friend were present along with Russell Porter's mother and father. Investigators believe the pair took the Porters alive from their Willard home and brought them to Taney County where they were killed execution style.

SALEM, Mo. -- New charges have been filed involving a double murder case out dent county.  Marvin Rice now faces charges of armed criminal action, assaulting an officer and resisting arrest following a shootout with Jefferson City police on December 10th.  The shooting happened shortly after Rice allegedly gunned down his former lover, Annette Durham and her boyfriend Steven Strotkamp in their home near Salem.  Rice is set to be arraigned this Thursday...

FORSYTH, Mo. - A man indicted for the 2011 murder of a Willard couple has a hearing scheduled today in Taney County court. Tony Friend was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of murder in the deaths of Russell and Rebecca Porter. Friend is one of five people indicted in the case. Friend's lawyers are asking that the venue for the trial be changed from Taney County. Friend's son Phillip, Dusty Hicks and Robert Campbell were also indicted for the murder of the Porters. Friend's wife Windy was indicted for conspiracy to commit murder.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The preliminary hearing for a man charged with murder was delayed on Tuesday because a witness can't be located to serve her with a subpoena to show up to testify.  The judge then issued a warrant for the arrest of the witness. Robert Sondree, 35, (pictured) is charged with second-degree murder for the death of Bobby Newman, 48, in June.  Investigators believe Sondree pushed Newman to the ground or hit him during an argument in a home on West Nichols Street near Kansas Expressway.  A medical examiner said Newman died of blunt force.

FORSYTH, Mo. -- Two more suspects have pleaded not guilty to kidnapping and murdering Rusty and Rebecca Porter in 2011. Robert Campbell and Windy Friend made their pleas last Friday in court.  Robert Campbell is Rusty Porter's uncle.  Both are charged with first-degree murder in the case.  Campbell's next court apperance is scheduled for Thursday, January 10.  Windy Friend will be in court for a hearing on March 21. FORSYTH, Mo. - A judge has granted a change of venue for one of the men accused in the kidnapping and murder of a Willard couple. Court records state the court will secure a jury from a county outside of the Springfield broadcast media coverage area for the trial of Tony Friend. Investigators say Friend and four other people planned out the disappearance and shooting deaths of Rusty and Rebecca Porter in April 2011. Their remains were found in a rural area near Pro Tem three months later.

BOLIVAR, Mo. -- A murder case is headed to trial court in Polk County.  A judge heard from the coroner, a highway patrol investigator, and another witness in the preliminary hearing for Shannon Shaffer.  He's accused of using his vehicle to run over Tommy Bryant near Eudora on April 22nd.

BRANSON -- A Utah man received 15-years to life in prison after he was convicted in a murder case that reached the Ozarks. Michael Doyel admitted he strangled his ex-girlfriend, Deborah Jones, in April 2008.      The 51-year-old then stuffed her body in a bin that was put in a car; the car and the body were discovered outside of a Branson motel.       Last month, Doyel pleaded guilty to a federal kidnapping charge in the same case; he received 30-years in prison for that crime.

LEBANON, Mo. -- Court documents show oral arguments are scheduled for January in the Appeals Court case for a convicted killer, Horst Sabla.  He was found guilty in April of last year for the shooting death of his wife, Sharon, in 2008.  Her body was found encased in concrete next to a road in rural Laclede County. Sabla's next court appearance is set for mid-January.

ROLLA, Mo. -- A trial date is expected to be set today in a murder case out of Phelps County.  Farrell Cross is accused of fatally shooting his ex-wife Tammy in the head in 1991.  Investigators say they had been arguing over child support payments.  Cross was arrested in Rolla last year.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Greene County Sheriff's Department says a man seen in security video at a convenience store near a murder scene definitely is not connected to the murder case.  Investigators thought the man vaguely matched a description of a man seen running from the home of Donald and Helen Willingham.  Someone stabbed the couple, who were both 79 years old, in their home outside southwest Springfield on April 25.
