The University of Missouri Tigers basketball team will not only look good, but feel good this season.  The Tigers tried on their new Nike Dri-Fit jerseys this week. The team got a first look yesterday for pictures.  Junior shooting guard Kim English posted picks of the new digs with a tweet, "see you in November. " Mizzou opens the season with back-to-back home games against Western Illinois on November 18th and North Florida on November 20th. COLUMBIA, Mo. - Go West Missouri Tigers.  But not at first. The Missouri Tigers have earned a third-straight NCAA Tournament bid under Head Coach Mike Anderson.  Mizzou is in the West regional.  The No. 11 seeded Tigers will play the No. 6 seeded Cincinnati Bearcats out of the Big East Conference.  The Bearcats finished the regular-season 25-8, 11-7 in conference play. The matchup will not be played out West, instead East in Washington, DC Thursday.  The winner will play the winner of UCONN versus Bucknell.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Bigger is better. The University of Missouri's move to the Southeastern Conference next year has sped up discussions to expand Memorial Stadium.  Plans include adding premium outdoor club seats on the east side and adding luxury suites on the west side. COLUMBIA, Mo. -- University of Missouri Tigers quarterback Corbin Berkstresser is in trouble with the law.  Columbia police arrested Berkstresser early Tuesday for leaving the scene of an accident.  The police report says the redshirt freshman quarterback hit a parked car, then left the scene.  Berkstresser posted a $4,500 bond. The Lee's Summit native took most of the snaps with the first team in spring drills after starting quarterback James Franklin injured his shoulder.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - David Yost has resigned his position as University of Missouri assistant head football coach, after spending the past 12 seasons on Head Coach Gary Pinkel's staff at Mizzou.  Yost cited personal reasons for his decision, which is effective immediately. The departure will end a 17-season association between Pinkel and Yost.  He initially joined Pinkel's staff at Toledo in 1996 as a graduate assistant, and from 1997-2000, was Pinkel's quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator, until moving to MU in the same position.

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Missouri Tigers are positioning themselves for March.  Mizzou (23-2, 10-2) jumped a spot to No. 3 in The Associated Press' men's basketball rankings for this week.  Kentucky and Syracuse remain ahead of the Tigers.   Missouri finished another undefeated week, beating Texas and No. 6 Baylor.  The Tigers play at home on Wednesday night against Oklahoma State and on the road Saturday against Texas A&M.                                 Record  ...

The final Arch Rivalry game in St. Louis between the Tigers and the Illini ended like the rest. Quarterback Blaine Gabbert's threw two touchdown passes in the second half to lead Missouri (1-0) to a 23-13 win over Illinois (0-1). The win is a the sixth straight in the border war series. The Missouri Tigers offense started slow in the first half. The Tigers offense could only manage three points on just five possessions. Illinois led 13-3 at halftime taking advantage of several miscues by Mizzou.

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The new look Missouri Tigers had a dominate showing to open their 2012-2013 schedule thanks to a 91-58 win over Northwest Missouri State. The Tigers were led by Auburn transfer Earnest Ross who netted 22-points against the Division II school from Maryville. SEC preseason player of the year, Phil Pressey, impressed with 11 assists on the night; often tallying them with flare. The Tigers opened the game with a 27-3 lead and shot 62-percent from the floor.

NEW YORK -- Mizzou's Sheldon Richardson heard his name called early in the 2013 NFL Draft. The New York Jets selected the big 6' 2", 290 pound defensive lineman No. 13.  Richardson shined in his debut season in the Southeastern Conference.  He earned second-team all-SEC honors last season.  He recorded 75 tackles, including 10.5 tackles for a loss and 4.5 sacks.  The St. Louis native signed with Missouri twice.  He attended a junior...

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.   - In a nip-and-tuck battle between in-state rivals, visiting Missouri scored three times in the top of the eighth inning to build a four-run lead, then withstood a pair of Missouri State rallies to pull out a 5-4 non-conference victory Tuesday evening before 2,105 spectators at Hammons Field. Keaton Steele led the Tigers' 13-hit attack with a 3-for-4 effort, while seven MU hurlers combined to keep the Bears at arms' length throughout the contest. The harrowing victory for Missouri -- which handed the Tigers a 23-22 all-time edge in the series -- came at the expense of a Bears offense that struggled to come up with the clutch hit time after time.

COLUMBIA, Mo.  -- Missouri's Phil Pressey was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday after scoring a career high 26 points to lead the Tigers in a 66-64 nail-biter over Bucknell. Pressey currently ranks among the nation's leaders in assists per game (7.2) and rescued Mizzou's sputtering offense on Saturday, hitting 3-of-3 shooting from three-point range in the second half. Mizzou is now ranked 10th in the men's Associated Press poll and opens SEC play in Columbia on Tuesday against Alabama.  The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. on ESPN.

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel is ending his 39-year marriage to the former Kent State cheerleader he met as a college football player. Boone County court records show Gary and Vicki Pinkel finalized their divorce in mid-October after separating at the beginning of this year. They are the parents of three grown children. Their legal agreement requires the coach to pay Vicki Pinkel $276,000 a year, or $23,000 per month, as long as he remains Missouri's coach.

Missouri guard Phil Pressey and Arkansas guard BJ Young were named to the Wooden Award Watch list today. The Wooden Award goes to the nations top player and was won last year by Kentucky's Anthony Davis. Pressey, who averaged 10.3 points and 6.4 assists per game last season as a sophomore, is the lone Missouri representive in the Top 50. The junior guard averaged 6.5 points and 3.9 assists per game as a freshman. BJ Young scored 15.3 points per game last season as a freshman for the Razorbacks.

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Freshmen Stefan Jankovic and Negus Webster-Chan combined for 34 points and 12 rebounds as the former high school teammates led Missouri Basketball to an 86-60 victory over Missouri Southern to close out exhibition play on Sunday. Jankovic came off the bench and flourished on the perimeter, hitting 8-of-13 shots, including three from outside the three-point stripe to pace the Tigers with 20 points. His former high school point guard, Webster-Chan, earned his first start as a Tiger and scored 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting to go with seven rebounds and three assists.

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Mizzou celebrated homecoming with its first Southeastern Conference win. Kendial Lawrence rushed scored two touchdowns and rushed for 108 yards to lead the Missouri Tigers (4-4, 1-4) to a 33-10 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats (1-8, 0-6) Saturday in Columbia. Mizzou scored touchdowns following three Kentucky fumbles. Missouri's Corbin Berkstresser struggled in his second-straight start of the season.  The redshirt-freshman finished 10-of-18 for 71 yards and two interceptions.  Injured starting quarterback James Franklin came off the bench, finishing 6-of-9 for 16 yards.  Franklin missed the start against Vanderbilt two weeks ago. Missouri's defense played big throughout the game.  The biggest play happened on the first drive of the game.  In the red-zone, defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson stripped Johathan George, then scooped up the ball.  He returned the fumble for 60 yards.   Mizzou added a Lawrence rushing touchdown and a field goal to go up 17-10 at halftime.
