LEBANON, Mo. -- A manufacturer here will announce the creation of 200 new jobs on Friday.  Community and state leaders will be at Detroit Tool Metal Products for a news conference at 10 a.m. Detroit Tool manufactures metal products and fabricated components for companies in several industries, including Thomas Bus, AM General, DRS Technologies, American Ordnance, American Railcar, and NACCO. This is the second time in two years that it's expanded its plant here.

LEBANON, Mo. -- Law officers arrested an accused murderer from Chicago on Tuesday morning.  The U.S. Marshals Service says Brandon Jones, 26, was hiding here with his girlfriend and their three small children. The raid was about 7 a.m. at a home in the 1200 block of Britany Street by members of the Southern Missouri Fugitive Task Force and Lebanon police officers.  They said they found Jones hiding in a bedroom, and arrested him after a brief struggle.  Jones will be held here in the Laclede County jail until he waives extradition to Illinois or the extradition process runs it course.

LEBANON, Mo. -- In a roomful of supporters, the Lebanon planning and zoning committee unanimously approved the Laclede House project. The Laclede House is a transitional program for men, to get them off drugs and get them to be contributing members of society.  The group was needing a place to house the men while helping them get a job and find a permanent place to live. Now with this approval, the group can take over the Methodist Church in Lebanon.  At first, the renovated church will house eight men.  The group says the hope is to one day also open a shelter for women.

LEBANON, Mo.-- Six people are listed in serious condition after a crash in Lebanon. Lebanon police say the accident happened Saturday night around 7p.m., near the intersection of Washington and Harwood. Cops say a SUV driven by Shawna Woods was going north on Washington, when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with another SUV driven by Nick Coffman. Four people had to be air lifted to a Springfield hospital. No word if any charges will be filed.

LEBANON, Mo.--  Investigators say a series of brush fires in a southwest Missouri county may have been intentionally set. Four fires broke out in Laclede County on Thursday afternoon. All four were just a few miles apart from each other in a rural area, just southwest of Lebanon. Authorities say they're considering them suspicious because of their proximity to each other. More than 65 firefighters from 17 agencies responded to the blazes. One injury has been reported.  A woman who tried to help wound up needing help herself.

LEBANON, Mo. --  A battle between gas stations is a big benefit to drivers.  It's right along Interstate 44 on the west side of Lebanon.  The gas war is between Eagle Stop and One Stop. The state average for a gallon of regular unleaded today is at 3.39, but those two stations were selling gas for around 2.98. One Stop tells us they're just trying to stay competitive and lure customers onto their lot. The manager says it's definitely working. There was a steady stream of drivers packed at the pumps all day long.

LEBANON, Mo.-- A 25 year old Lebanon woman died Friday night as the result of a one vehicle accident.  Tosha Odien was killed when the 1998 Ford F150 pickup she was driving ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The accident happened on Highway MM seven miles east of Lebanon.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Odien was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man from Sikeston was charged in federal court on Wednesday for the robbery of a bank in Lebanon.  Larry Enloe, 52, is charged in a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Springfield with stealing $2,350 from Commerce Bank on Tuesday.  Enloe remains in federal custody pending a detention hearing. According to an affidavit filed in support of the federal criminal complaint, Enloe entered Commerce Bank, 224 W. Commercial St., Lebanon, at about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.  Tellers said the robber approached the counter and presented a bank robbery note (written on the back of a Walmart receipt)

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- A Lebanon man is charged with forcible rape in Camden County.  The sheriff says a Kansas City woman was staying at the Lodge of Four Seasons Sunday night when she woke up and found Theodore Kremer, 27, on top of her.  She told investigators she forced him off and called 911.  Kremer was arrested, but has since posted bond.

LEBANON, Mo. -- A man from Lebanon is charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter for a car crash that killed his passenger.  Matthew Burgess, 29, drove off Highway YY north of Lebanon on Saturday night.  His car flipped several times and Amanda Barrett, 32, died at the scene. Burgess is in the Laclede County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.  His next hearing is set for March 26. A Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says the crash was at 9:55 p.m. Saturday.  Burgess was driving a northbound 2001 Dodge Neon.  The car came to rest on its top.  Another passenger, John Burgess, 32, was airlifted to a hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.   Matthew Burgess was not injured.  He was wearing a seat belt but investigators aren't sure if the two passengers were buckled up. A trooper spoke with Matthew Burgess at the scene and detected the odor of intoxicants on his breath.  The trooper said Burgess showed other signs of intoxication, according to the probable cause statement.
