SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--  It will be a month Wednesday since the Table Rock Dam flood gates were opened for the first time this year.  Monday, marks the second time, and Tuesday the flow was increased to include all ten gates once again.  It's affecting homes along Lake Taneycomo once again. As more than 53,000 cubic feet of water flow through Table Rock Dam each second, the people along Lake Taneycomo are watching once again. "It came all the way up to right here and the back door and never got any further," says Chuck Landry.

BRANSON, Mo. -- The flood waters are breaking records and even breaking marinas loose.  At Branson Landing, Bass Pro Shops' marina broke loose early Tuesday evening.  They got it tied down but, about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, something else hit the marina and it took off on about a 10-mile float downstream.   A crew on an Empire District Electric boat was able to catch it just in time, before it got to Powersite Dam.   The White River Fish House at Branson Landing suffered only minor damage from the marina hitting it, but crews worked Wednesday to add extra reinforcement to its existing heavy beams.

(news release, 4 p.m. Tuesday) BRANSON, Mo. -- The Corps plans to maintain the release from Table Rock Dam at 53,600 cubic feet per second (cfs) on Tuesday night and for the next couple of days unless the area receives more than one inch of rain on Tuesday night.     Contrary to some rumors, there are NO plans to increase the release to 68,000 cfs.  Table Rock likely will crest at 934 feet above sea level on Thursday. Good news -- Beaver Lake, which flows into Table Rock, crested at 1131.8 and has dropped .04 feet.  By noon Wednesday, the Corps will begin to cut back on the releases from Beaver, again if the area receives no significant rainfall.

Taney County, Mo. - Downstream from Table Rock Dam, Lake Taneycomo rushed into a lot of lives, disrupting and in some cases destroying property in its path. Riverport Estates, a neighborhood west of Hollister saw some of the worst of what Taneycomo delivered. Some houses are almost completely underwater, others are high and dry. For Harry Boggess, the flooding has been frustrating.  His basement is under 70 inches of water with 17 inches to spare before it reaches the first floor ceiling.

HOLLISTER, Mo. -- Plans are underway to revamp some coveted lakefront property on the edge of Hollister.  It's a big piece of the tourism puzzle for a small town trying to reinvent itself. The place where the cool waters of Lake Taneycomo intersect with Turkey Creek is a popular fishing and boating spot that up until now has been difficult to reach. "Hollister does not have great public access to the water.  This will provide that,” said City Administrator Rick Ziegenfuss.
