FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas's Bobby Petrino called Saturday's win against Missouri State "misssion accomplished. " The Razorbacks dominated the Football Championship Subdivision Bears on offense, defense, and special teams.  But, what did we learn from the lopsided win? 1.  Joe Adams is still fast and shifty! The senior receiver returned to punts of 69 and 61 yards for touchdowns.  He botched the catch on the second return, then picked it up and followed his blocks to the end-zone.  Adams even admitted he watched the replay over and over Sunday.  He too saw the great blocking on the play.

" Petrino's gone.  His exit will be remembered for years.  The program can overcome the firing with another home-run type hire.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Southeastern Conference coaches have a lot respect for the 2012 Arkansas Razorbacks. The Hogs have placed ten players on this year's all-SEC coaches teams.  That's one selection short of both LSU and Alabama, which lead the conference.   Senior Tyler Wilson is the first-team quarterback selection.  Wilson threw for 3,638 yards and 24 touchdowns.  He is joined on the first-team by running-back Knile Davis, receiver Cobi Hamilton, and all-purpose specialist Dennis Johnson.  Davis was a first-team all-SEC selection in 2010.  He missed all of the 2011 season with a broken ankle.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - 64 yards.  That's it.  That's the total yards the Arkansas Razorbacks rushed for a season ago in a 24-20 loss at home against the then No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide.   That was last year. "We're excited about our preparation for the Alabama game," said Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino.  "They're a very good defensive football team, basically the same guys we played last year. " Alabama exploited Arkansas' one-dimensional offense a season ago.  The Bama defense teed-off on quarterback Ryan Mallett in the second-half, forcing him to make bad decisions.  Arkansas' running game regrouped after that loss.  All-Southeastern Conference tailback Knile Davis carried the load last season becoming one of the country's best.
