FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Three Arkansas Razorbacks have earned recognition on another preseason college football watch list. Sophomore offensive guard Alvin Bailey, senior defensive end Jake Bequette and senior linebacker Jerry Franklin have been named to the Lombardi Award watch list.  The award recognizes the country's top lineman. FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Razorbacks received a tough break heading into this weekend's Southwest Classic against the Texas A&M Aggies. Junior defensive end Tenarius Wright will miss the next month of the season after surgery on a broken bone in his arm.  Wright injured it during the first quarter of Satuday's loss at Alabama.  The Memphis native has recorded ten tackles through the first four games. On the other end, senior defensive end Jake Bequette is making progress as he recovers from a hamstring injury he suffered in week two.  Petrino says he's encouraged Bequette will return to action Saturday.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas will rest two of its on seniors Saturday against Troy to recover from injury. Preseason all-Southeastern Conference defensive end Jake Bequette injured his hamstring last week in the win against New Mexico.  Wright hurt his knee in the same game.  Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino says both have made significant improvement and will likely return for the next Saturday against Alabama. FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Southeastern Conference recognized two Razorbacks for their play on Saturday against South Carolina.  Kickoff returner Dennis Johnson is the SEC's Special Teams Player of the Week.  The junior from Texarkana gained a season-high 252 all-purpose yards against the Gamecocks. Johnson's big play came in the first-half, when he returned a kickoff 98-yards for a touchdown.  Johnson ties former all-America Darren McFadden with five career weekly honors.

DALLAS, Texas - Joe Adams left Arkansas Razorbacks fans one more spectacular return. The senior tied a Southeastern Conference record with his fourth punt return of the season, sparking the No. 6 Hogs to a 29-16 victory over the No. 8 Kansas State Wildcats.  Like the rest, Joe made it exciting. “It was another one of those where you just go, Wow! It was a great punt. He hit the ball really hard,” said Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino.  “You could see when he made the catch he had in mind what he was going to do.”  Adams thanked his blockers after the game, freeing him along the sideline for the 50-yard touchdown.  His special teams play gave Arkansas an early 10-0 lead.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Tyler Wilson passed his first test of the week. Team doctors and trainers cleared the junior quarterback to workout with the rest of the team Sunday, after suffering concussion-like symptoms in Saturday's 52-3 victory over the New Mexico Lobos.  "Tyler was doing fine last night," said Arkansas Razorbacks Head Coach Bobby Petrino.  "He ran and conditioned with everyone else. " Wilson left the game shortly before the end of the first half after he scored on a 7-yard run.   In less than a half, he was 18-26 for 259 and a touchdown.  He added 48 yards on the ground.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Razorbacks played its best half of football this season last week in a comeback victory against Texas A&M.  Will it carry over to this weekend? The No. 10 Razorbacks (4-1, 0-1) return home Saturday night to play the defending National Champions, No. 15 Auburn Tigers (4-1, 2-0).  Auburn is coming off a big win on the road against South Carolina. "It's easy to get motivated for Auburn," said Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino.  "We always seem to do a good job of getting ready to play those guys and we know it's a conference game.

The Southeastern Conference is learning when you think you have Arkansas on the ropes, they find a way to escape.  Then they throw the punches. "Our confidence is really high," said Arkansas senior defensive end Jake Bequette.  "Those last few weeks are behind us.  We're looking ahead and feeling pretty good about ourselves. " South Carolina is the latest victim.  They rang the bell twice against the Gamecocks.  Arkansas was driving to go up 17-7 in the second-quarter.  Quarterback Tyler Wilson made a bonehead play, throwing it in the hands of defensive end Devin Taylor.  He returned it 48-yards for a touchdown.  Arkansas did not panic.  It answered the bell on a one-play, 68-yard touchdown pass from Wilson to Jarius Wright on the following drive.

The  No.1 LSU Tigers (12-0, 8-0) outscored the No. 3 Razorbacks (10-2, 6-2) 41-3 over the last 42 minutes of the game in a 41-17 win Friday evening in Baton Rouge.  The Tigers clinched the Southeastern Conference's Western division outright, likely earning a spot in the BCS National Championship game. "I am proud of our football team," said Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino.  "Our players came out, competed hard and stuck together as a team.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Razorbacks answered many unanswered questions in 2010.  Can they answer fewer questions in 2010? The Arkansas Razorbacks open camp Thursday afternoon, beginning another college football season.   This year's Hogs are met again with expectations, but fewer unanswered questions. "I like a lot of things about this team coming back," said Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino.  "Certainly there are areas that I feel like will really help us, give us an opportunity to be a good football team.
