Heavy rain with flash flood potential expected tonight. A storm system will track through southern Missouri this evening through early Tuesday morning. Some periodic rainfall will be possible through the daytime hours today... periods of heavier and more widespread rain are expected to begin this evening and continue through the pre dawn hours tuesday. Two to four inches of rain will be possible by Tuesday morning in counties along and south of Interstate 44. Widespread rainfall of this magnitude is capable of producing flash flooding in the rocky Ozarks terrain.

TODAY 50s Early showers, then mostly cloudy. TONIGHT 30s Clearing FRIDAY 60s Sunny and much warmer. 12-hour forecast 24-hour forecast 7-Day Forecast Pollen Count Satellite & Radar Almanac Good morning!  A storm in the upper atmosphere is centered over Oklahoma this morning.  Rather widespread rain surrounds the low, with a few showers in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas as well.  We continue to see dry air in the lower atmosphere fight the rain's northward progress, and with the track of the storm going southeast into southern Arkansas today we'll see the rain chance decrease this afternoon.  In fact central Missouri will be dry today with a bit more sun, with the rain will be confined to the morning hours across the south.  Skies will clear tonight, and then the warm-up kicks in.  You can think of it as almost a whiplash effect as this storm moves away.  Ridging in the upper atmosphere and a significant surge of warm air in the low levels will arrive tomorrow.  That will send temperatures into the mid 60s to around 70.  Saturday looks windy but VERY warm with highs in the lower and middle 70s.  A front will get into the region--but barely--on Sunday, before stalling and moving back north Sunday evening.  This will mean a good portion...

TODAY Near 60° Mostly sunny TONIGHT 30s A few high clouds THURSDAY Near 60° Increasing clouds 12-hour forecast 24-hour forecast 7-Day Forecast Wind Chill Satellite & Radar Almanac Good morning!  Skies have cleared for the most part overnight, but we've seen some high clouds move across from the northwest already.  This will likely be the case much of the day, but I don't expect them to have much impact on us.  Temperatures are starting colder, but will end up either side of 60 degrees this afternoon.  I expect 30s again tonight, and around 60 again on Thursday as clouds begin to thicken up a bit.  Another cold front will move into the region on Friday and by that time we'll have re-established our wind flow off the Gulf of Mexico.  Lift doesn't look to be particularly strong on Friday but there will be enough for a few showers to develop here and there.  Temperatures will be in the upper 50s and perhaps a few low 60s.  The cold front now looks like it will move just south of the Ozarks for the weekend, putting us in the colder air.  This is a change on the models from previous runs, so I've dropped highs over the weekend with 50s now expected.  A few waves of upper energy will move across the central US with the strongest coming on Sunday.  A few showers will be possible...

Good morning!  A "clipper" system, as we refer to it, is diving through the Ozarks today.  Rain will result, though it won't be a steady all-day rain.  The steadiest rain will be over the east this morning, with more showery activity developing a the storm center moves across this afternoon.  Highs will only be in the 50s today, with a breeze flipping to the north this afternoon and increasing a bit into tonight.  Clouds may linger for a...
