Providing the life a 12-year-old Fair Grove boy has never known is a little closer to reality. We first met Joey Nelson last spring.  Joey has a form of muscular dystrophy.  His family tells us Joey should use his wheelchair often to conserve his energy.  Unfortunately, the family's single-wide trailer was too small for his wheelchair, and Joey had to walk down the hall to his room and bathroom. The community behind Heart to Heart Outreach Ministries has rallied behind Joey's family to build them a new house; the cause was called Build Joey's House .  The new home allows Joey to move from room to room in his wheelchair.

FAIR GROVE, Mo -- More than 100 Oklahoma schools have reinforced tornado shelters. However, the two in the town of Moore did not when an EF-5 tornado devastated the community. Five years ago, the Fair Grove School District didn't have adequate shelter from a terrible storm.  Now, the district is convinced no school should be without one. "Schools aren't built for tornadoes. They are built to educate kids and house kids," said Fair Grove Superintendent Dr. John Link. His district knows that first hand.

FAIR GROVE, Mo --  The number of flu cases continue to grow in Greene County. That's prompting at least one school district to fight the bug. The strategy at Fair Grove appears to be working. Not one flu case has been reported in the elementary school. Administrators say it's all about prevention. The Fair Grove custodial staff ups the ante during flu season.  They go through bottles of disinfectant. "We touch all the touch points, with light switches, desks, anything a teacher, student, administrator might come into contact with we wipe down daily.  We look after our students here.  We want our students to be here," said Andrew Garcia, Custodial Supervisor.

"We wouldn't be able to research everything we need to research," said Andonae.
