CAMDENTON, Mo. -- The Camden County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of an unidentified man whose body was found near an open field southeast of Camdenton.  A property owner found the man's body early Wednesday afternoon. Capt. Kelly Luttrell says the body shows no obvious signs of trauma or injury.  An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.  The body was just east of Ha Ha Tonka State Park along a gravel road close near Native Drive, off Dry Ridge Road north of Dry Hollow Road, which intersects Missouri 5.

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- A convicted sex offender is accused of another sex crime.  Kai Seamer, 47, is charged with felony forcible sodomy after a 10-month investigation.  Seamer was convicted of first degree sexual misconduct with a teenage girl six years ago.

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- A man from rural Camden County is charged with sexually assaulting two developmentally disabled adults on multiple occasions. Kevin Heinemann was arrested and charged on Thursday. Osage Beach Police took a report of a sexual assault on Jan. 13. The Osage Beach Police Department and the Camden County Sheriff's Department did a joint investigation. Camden County detectives served an arrest warrant and a search warrant in the 400 block of Rodeo Road near Camdenton on Thursday.

 CAMDENTON, Mo. -- Camden County sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect after a shooting on Monday night in Macks Creek in the 100 block of Baptist Road.  Witnesses say up to a half dozen people were involved in a fight.   Colten Whitworth, 22, was shot.  He's being treated at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.   A 29-year-old man also was hurt in the fight.  He reportedly has cuts and bruises.    Formal charges are pending against the shooting suspect.

A man is behind bars tonight after he allegedly shot at Camden County sheriff's deputies. Eighty-one-year old John Russell walked away from a care facility in Morgan County Saturday.  He was later found at a home near Camdenton, armed with a gun. Deputies tried to subdue him when Russell allegedly fired one shot.  No one was hurt. Russell is facing several charges including second degree assault on a law enforcement officer.

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- Charter communication customers in Camden County might have delayed emergency responses.  The sheriff's office says it found some customer location information is incorrect and would provide a wrong location if you call 911.  Charter customers need to call the Camden County Mapping and addressing office to verify location information.  The number is (573) 346-4440, extension 3194.

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- A bench trial starts today for a man accused in a triple murder in Camden County. Morris McCabe is charged with shooting and killing Don Young, Sally Amos and Don Meyers at a home near Stoutland in December 2010. Last week prosecutors decided not to seek the death penalty if McCabe is found guilty.  He's charged with three counts of first degree murder.

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- A Lebanon man is charged with forcible rape in Camden County.  The sheriff says a Kansas City woman was staying at the Lodge of Four Seasons Sunday night when she woke up and found Theodore Kremer, 27, on top of her.  She told investigators she forced him off and called 911.  Kremer was arrested, but has since posted bond.

CAMDENTON, Mo.-- A deputy who worked for the Miller County Sheriff department was in jail Thursday on charges of possessing methamphetamine. Paul Emmett Hill, 29, of Rocky Mount was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a car accident in Miller County in which the Highway Patrol says Hill was driving under the influence of drugs. Bond for Hill is set at $10,000. Hill has since been fired from the sheriff's office.

Camdenton MO -- A Falcon, Missouri, couple will be sentenced on September 11th for killing a disabled teenager with their cruelty. Robert and Ronda Shrout were convicted by a Camden County judge today of involuntary manslaughter in the death of 18-year old Aaron Johnson  in 2006.  Investigators say Johnson was locked in a bedroom with a broken window and weighed only 98-pounds when he died. Johnson was Mrs. Shrout's son. Prosecutors said the Shrouts didn't provide him with food, shelter, medical care, or heat during wintertime.
