CAMDENTON, Mo.-- A deputy who worked for the Miller County Sheriff department was in jail Thursday on charges of possessing methamphetamine. Paul Emmett Hill, 29, of Rocky Mount was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a car accident in Miller County in which the Highway Patrol says Hill was driving under the influence of drugs. Bond for Hill is set at $10,000. Hill has since been fired from the sheriff's office.

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- A Lebanon man is charged with forcible rape in Camden County. The sheriff says a Kansas City woman was staying at the Lodge of Four Seasons Sunday night when she woke up and found Theodore Kremer, 27, on top of her. She told investigators she forced him off and called 911. Kremer was arrested, but has since posted bond.

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- Camden County sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect after a shooting on Monday night in Macks Creek in the 100 block of Baptist Road. Witnesses say up to a half dozen people were involved in a fight. Colten Whitworth, 22, was shot. He's being treated at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. A 29-year-old man also was hurt in the fight. He reportedly has cuts and bruises. Formal charges are pending against the shooting suspect.

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- A bench trial starts today for a man accused in a triple murder in Camden County. Morris McCabe is charged with shooting and killing Don Young, Sally Amos and Don Meyers at a home near Stoutland in December 2010. Last week prosecutors decided not to seek the death penalty if McCabe is found guilty. He's charged with three counts of first degree murder.

Camdenton MO -- A Falcon, Missouri, couple will be sentenced on September 11th for killing a disabled teenager with their cruelty. Robert and Ronda Shrout were convicted by a Camden County judge today of involuntary manslaughter in the death of 18-year old Aaron Johnson in 2006. Investigators say Johnson was locked in a bedroom with a broken window and weighed only 98-pounds when he died. Johnson was Mrs. Shrout's son. Prosecutors said the Shrouts didn't provide him with food, shelter, medical care, or heat during wintertime.

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- It's not uncommon for couples to get married or renew vows on Valentine's Day. The fun part is choosing the many different places that you could go. Many make it romantic while others chose to make it claustrophobic. Saturday, roughly 100 couples got hitched inside Bridal Cave at Thunder Mountain Park in Camdenton. "Where's the perfect place? CAMDENTON, Mo. -- The Lake of the Ozarks Major Case Squad said William Vannote, 67, died at a hospital about 7:20 a.m. Wednesday. Vannote was the man shot on Saturday night, along with his girlfriend, at their home next to Lake of the Ozark east of Sunrise Beach. The girlfriend, Sharon Dickson, 59, died in the home. Both were shot multiple times. An autopsy on Vannote's body is scheduled for Thursday. Investigators say they are following leads. CAMDENTON, Mo. -- A man from Lebanon who is charged for a triple homicide in Stoutland waived his right to a preliminary hearing last month. A judge then sent the case to circuit court, where Morris McCabe is scheduled to make his first appearance on Feb. 14. McCabe was charged in February with three counts of first-degree murder. Police believe McCabe used a stolen rifle to shoot Sally Amos, her boyfriend, Donald Myers, and his friend, Donald Young. The shootings were just weeks after McCabe was released from prison after serving a sentence for a murder in Lebanon in 1979.
