CAMDENTON, Mo. -- A new safe haven is being constructed for women and children. Work is coming along on the new Citizens Against Domestic Violence shelter. The facility replaces two older homes that have been home to the shelter since the 1980s. "It was in horrible condition," said CADV director Angie Fiene. "We were having a hard time keeping it open due to the flooding, the mold. " So in recent months, it has been out with the old and in with the new. The old facility has been torn down, and has been replaced with a new one. "With this beautiful facility they have for this organization, it is going to help their cause tremendously,' said Ryan Gibson, project manager for Thomas Construction Company.
