CAMDENTON, Mo. -- The Camden County prosecuting attorney says no charges will be filed against three Camden County sheriff's deputies who fought with a home invader who died after the deputies used an electric stun gun on him.  Glenn Norman died last Oct. 4 outside a house near Linn Creek. The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated Norman's death and sent a report to Prosecuting Attorney Brian Keedy.  The deputies were put on paid administrative leave for awhile, a standard procedure, during the beginning of the investigation.  The sheriff said last fall that Norman pushed his way into a house, struggled with the owner, then fled.  Deputies arrested him in the neighborhood.  When Norman resisted arrest, the deputies used stun guns on him but said the shocks didn't seem to bother him. They performed CPR when he had breathing trouble, but he died.

LINN CREEK, Mo. -- A man who barged into a home early Tuesday died after Camden County sheriff's deputies used an electric stun gun to subdue him.  He was Glenn Norman, 46, of Neelyville. The sheriff's department says it got a call at 4:24 a.m. from a man in the 200 block of Teer Drive in Linn Creek.  The caller said a man knocked at his door and, after the resident opened the door, pushed his way into the home.  That resulted in a struggle between the resident and the intruder.  The resident said the intruder fled from his home and was still in the neighborhood when he called 911. When deputies arrived, they approached Norman, who was in a yard next door to the home where he barged in.  Deputies said they tried to arrest Norman but he resisted.  That's when they used a Taser electric stun gun to subdue him. Several minutes later, after Norman was cuffed, he began to have difficulty breathing.  They called an ambulance to the scene, and deputies performed CPR after Norman went into respiratory arrest.  Despite their efforts, Norman died at the scene about 6:30.

MACKS CREEK, Mo. -- A town near the Lake of the Ozarks that was once famous as a speed trap could be history.  Voters in Macks Creek could decide as soon as August 7 to disincorporate. The Camden County Clerk's Office has approved a petition to get the issue on the ballot.  If voters approve it, the town would no longer have a city government and all roads would be maintained by the county.  A similar attempt failed seven years ago.  Macks Creek first incorporated in 1926.

CAMDENTON, Mo.-- Some membrs of the Mid-County Fire Protection District Board in Camden County believe their district is inspecting for codes they don't have the authority or experience to enforce.  The board is discussing the heated topic in a public meeting Thursday night. The district adopted the International Building Code as it's own, with a few exceptions, years ago.  Inspectors with the fire district are in charge of enforcing those building codes.  Now there is disagreement over whether the fire district actually has the authority or experience needed to enforce anything other than fire codes.  Two board members are proposing a new, much shorter set of codes, involving only fire safety.
