One of the most common New Year resolutions is to lose weight, so I am sure there are many eager to get started, and some may be super sore from exercising. The first four ingredients in this recipe help combat sore muscles naturally. 2 cups of fresh or frozen blueberries 1/2 cup of pomegranate seeds 1/2 cup of tart cherry juice 1 tablespoon of ground ginger 1/2 cup of sugar or Splenda 1/4 cup of honey 1 cup of instant oats 1/2 cup of powdered sugar 2/3 cup of butter, melted 1/2 cup of brown sugar 1/4 cup of flour 2 tablespoons of corn starch Combine honey, melted butter, ginger, oats, flour and brown sugar in a bowl. Mix by hand until soft crumbles form. Set aside.

3 Granny Smith apples, peeled cored and thinly sliced 2/3 cup of brown sugar 1 tsp of cinnamon 1 tbsp of apple pie spice 8-12 croissant dough triangles 1/2 cup of sugar in the raw Toss apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and apple pie spice. Place an equal portion of apple mixture in the center of each dough triangle. Starting at the end opposite the point of the triangle, roll croissant, trying to contain as much of the apple mixture as possible. Sprinkle each croissant with sugar in the raw. Bake on a grease cookie sheet at 400 degrees until golden brown.

Roasted Sweet Potatoes Prep Time 10 minutes / Total Time 45 minutes / Yield: 5 (1 cup) servings Ingredients 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil Kosher salt 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper 3 Honeycrisp apples (Granny Smith may be used); peeled and cubed 2 teaspoons of lemon juice 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary, finely chopped ½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts ¼ cup brown sugar, loosely packed Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potatoes with some olive oil, dash of salt, cinnamon, and cayenne.

4 apples 4 tablespoons of black walnuts 3 tablespoons of butter 3 tablespoons of brown sugar 1/3 cup of bread crumbs ½ teaspoon of cinnamon 1/3 cup of apple cider Scoop out the core of 4 apples using a melon baller, leaving the bottoms intact. Mix 3 tablespoons each of black walnuts, brown sugar and butter with 1/3 cup bread crumbs and ½ teaspoon cinnamon; stuff into apples. Put in a baking dish with 2/3 cup of apple cider and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

2 1/2 cups of quick rolled oats 1/2 cup of Rice Krispies 1/4 cup of coconut 1/2 M&M candies 1/2 cup of chopped peanuts 1/2 cup of brown sugar 1/4 cup of butter, softened 1/2 cup of peanut butter 1/4 cup of honey 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla 1 egg Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x9 nice square pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined. Press into prepared pan. Bake 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes and score to the size you want. Let set completely; cut bars all the way through.
