10 slices of white bread, cut into cubes 1 cup of sliced strawberries 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 6 eggs 3/4 cup of white sugar 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon of salt 3 cups of liquid vanilla soft serve mix 1 pinch of ground nutmeg Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a medium baking dish. Spead out cut bread onto dish. In a medium bowl, combine sugar, eggs, soft serve, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and vanilla extract. Stir well. Spread sliced strawberries over cut bread.

1/2 cup of all-purpose flour 1 cup of cornmeal 1 teaspoon of salt 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, optional 1 tablespoon of baking powder 1 egg, lightly beaten 1 1 /4 cups of milk, plus more as needed In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. If batter is too thick, thin with additional milk. Cook in waffle iron according to manufacturers’ instructions. Makes 3 to 4 Belgian (round) waffles. Bed and breakfast style French toast 4 slices of thick cut bread – wheat, white, French or sour dough 4 eggs, beaten 1 teaspoon of vanilla ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons of oil Mix together the eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla. Batter each side of the bread in the egg mixture. Cook it on medium heat with the oil in a non-stick pan until it is golden brown. Ginger cream 1 cup of heavy cream 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar 1 teaspoon of ground ginger ½ teaspoon of vanilla Combine the cream, vanilla, and ginger in a mixing bowl.

Strawberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast Recipe by Jim Lekander Category: miscellaneous Prep time: 30 minutes Servings: 4 Ingredients 4 ounces cream cheese 1/4 cup strawberry preserves 8 slices (1-inch thick) French bread 4 eggs 1 cup cream 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 tablespoon cinnamon 1 dash nutmeg powdered sugar maple syrup Directions   Preheat oven to 300 degrees for holding finished toast.

1 pound of fresh strawberries 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar 1 tablespoon of fresh mint 1 loaf of French bread 4 tablespoon of cinnamon sugar 1/2 stick of butter, melted Core and slice the strawberries.  Chop mint leaves.  Sprinkle mint and 3 tablespoons of sugar over the strawberries; toss and let sit for 30 minutes.  Slice French bread in half long ways.  Brush with melted butter.  Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.  Toast in an oven until crispy.

1 French baguette, cut into four sections with each section cut in half like a hoagie roll 12 ounces of  fresh mozzarella 8 fresh basil leaves 8 large tomato slices 2 tablespoons of olive oil Brush each piece of bread with a little olive oil. Toast in a preheated medium sized sauté pan. Layer tomatoes, mozzarella and basil leaves onto toasted bread season with salt and pepper to taste.  Place top slice of bread on sandwich. Recipe serves four.

6 thin slices of good bread Butter for bread 6 thin (round) slices of Swiss cheese 2 tablespoons of additional Swiss cheese, grated 6 eggs ½ cup of heavy cream Cut the bread into large circles; butter one side, and brown them on one side only.   Arrange the bread, browned side up, in a buttered baking dish.   Sprinkle them with salt and pepper and place on each a thin round of Swiss cheese.   Break an egg on the cheese and sprinkle the eggs with the grated Swiss cheese.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Buying yourself breakfast Friday morning can also help feed hungry children in the Ozarks. Panera Bread Cafes will donate $1 from all cinnamon rolls and grilled breakfast sandwiches sold on Friday morning to Ozarks Food Harvest. The donations will help fund projects of Ozarks Food Harvest, including the backpack program which sends students home with a backpack full of nutritious child-friendly food for them to take home on the weekends.

In today's Taste of the Ozarks, here's a recipe for Roast Beef, Swiss and Horseradish Monkey Bread. INGREDIENTS 12 thaw and bake roll size dough balls 12 thin slices roast beef 12 slices Swiss cheese 2 tbsp prepared horseradish 4 tbsp sour cream 5 tbsp melted butter DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 375.  Combine horseradish and sour cream.  Flatten each dough ball and roll or stretch to a six inch disk place one slice beef one slice Swiss cheese and 1/2 tbsp horseradish mix. Fold edges of dough over beef, cheese and sauce.

2 loaves of frozen bread dough, cut into 1/4-inch slices 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar 1 1/2 sticks of butter 1 tablespoon of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of ginger Grease and flour a bundt pan. Layer the sliced dough like shingles evenly around the inside of the pan.  Melt butter and mix in brown sugar and seasonings; pour over bread dough. Bake in a 350 degree-oven for 20 to 30 minutes. 1 loaf of bread 1 cup of canned pumpkin 4 eggs 1 1/2 tablespoons of pumpkin pie spice 2/3 cup of sugar 2 cups of milk 1/2 stick of butter   Tear bread into bite-sized pieces and press into a 9 x 13 baking dish.  Whisk together eggs, milk, pumpkin, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and melted butter.  Pour liquid mixture over bread pieces.  Let stand for 15 minutes so bread can absorb liquid. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes until firm all the way through.  Serve hot or chilled.  Garnish with whipped cream.

SPRINGFIFELD, Mo. -- Panera Bread bakery-cafes in the Springfield, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and northwest Arkansas areas are joining forces with Blue Star Mothers of America to collect telephone calling cards.  On Friday (May 6), a customer can bring in a phone card with a minimum value of $5 and, in exchange, receive a $5 Panera Bread gift card.  There's a limit of one gift card per customer. Panera also will accept cash donations to buy additional phone cards. Blue Star Mothers will distribute the phone cards to men and women who serve our country in the armed services.  Phone cards may be dropped off and exchanged for a Panera Bread gift card at all participating Panera Bread locations in southwest Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

6 slices of Texas toast 4 eggs, beaten 1 8-ounce package of cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup of chopped pecans 2 bananas, smashed, leaving some banana pieces intact 1/4 cup of sugar (as needed) cinnamon and powdered sugar for dusting 3 cups of syrup Cut a 2 1/2-inch slit along the side of each slice of bread; continue slit about three-quarters of the way through each slice.  Combine softened cream cheese, bananas, nuts and 1/4 cup of sugar.  Mix until well-combined.
