BERGMAN, Ark. -- One person was killed in a car crash in Boone County Arkansas this morning. State police say that accident happened on highway 7 between Zinc and Bergman. The victim's name and what happened have not been released.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A driver who hit a teenager sitting in the middle of a road in Springfield says she looked at her cell phone just before the collision.  The June 2nd accident happened around 1am on Walnut Lawn near Campbell.  An accident report says Justin Clark, 17, was sitting in one of the East bound lanes on Walnut Lawn. The driver told the police she didn't see the teenager until it was too late to stop.  Clark died of his injuries.

A close call Sunday at an airport in Taney County.      Officials with Western Taney County Fire say the aircraft apparently over-shot the runway at the airport in Point Lookout. The plane was being used by a pilot class.  Both the teacher and student, the only two on board, were able to walk away from the accident. The plane sustained minor damage.

THAYER, Mo. -- A Mammoth Spring, Ark., School District bus was bumped from behind by another vehicle this morning. The accident happened on Highway 142 east of Thayer. There were two children and two adults on board the bus at the time. No one was injured. The bus was stopped due to a previous accident. The car behind it was unable to stop in time. The bus was driven back to campus after the accident.

PLEASANT HOPE, Mo. -- A pickup collided with a Pleasant Hope School District bus on a curve shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday on Highway H about a mile south of Pleasant Hope, killing the driver of the pickup. She was Tracy Bauer, 45, of Pleasant Hope. No children were on the bus at the time. The driver of the school bus, Wilfred Hardiman, 61, was taken to a hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries.  Hardiman had made his last stop to drop off students before the accident happened.

BRANSON, Mo. -- City police and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the death of a construction worker.  The police chief says Ray Strawn, 41, fell about 25 feet from a crane on Sunday morning.  The accident happened at a construction site at Palace View Resort at 700 Blue Meadows Road. Strawn was inside a wooden box being lifted off the ground by a boom lift.  When the box was about 25 feet in the air, it became unstable and fell from the lift with Strawn inside.  Strawn died at the scene.  Branson firefighters, Taney County Ambulance and county coroner's office responded to the accident.

REPUBLIC -- A man is lucky to be alive after his car flipped several times overnight on Sunday. The accident happened near the James River and Sunshine exit on Highway 60. Authorities said the car flipped three or four times before coming to a stop near the westbound lane.      The driver, a 20-year-old man, was thrown from the vehicle; he was taken to the hospital-- no word on his condition. Republic police said alcohol may have been a factor in the accident. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

VERSAILLES, Mo. -- A man from Stover died after an accident in Morgan County. Schuyler Stegmann got out of the Subaru in which he was riding to look for damage after the vehicle was rear-ended.  Stegmann 40, passed out on the roadway and died later at the hospital in Osage Beach, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident happened around 1:40 on Saturday afternoon on Missouri 52 just east of Versailles.  Troopers don't know why Stegmann passed out.

A one-year old boy is dead after an accident in a Crawford County creek. The Missouri State Water Patrol says Phillip Werner was playing near Crooked Creek with his siblings in Steelville.  Investigators say he wandered into the water and was pulled away by the current.

ROCKY MOUNT, Mo. -- Two children from Ashland were electrocuted at Lake of the Ozarks on Wednesday while swimming near a private dock just after noon.  Investigators are trying to find the source of the electricity that killed Alexandra Anderson, 13, and her brother, Brayden, 8. OZARK, Mo. -- Police say James Gallmeier sped off from Point Royale as officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call back in March.  Authorities chased him through Stone County and up into Nixa.  His car hit some road spikes, and Gallmeier jumped out, and ran off.  He was arrested about an hour later. Gallmeier is charged in Christian County with resisting arrest, careless and imprudent driving and leaving the scene of an accident.  He's also facing charges in Taney County.

SPRINGFIELD --  Missouri Highway Patrol troopers say a a blown tire is to blame for a accident on I-44 Saturday afternoon. The accident happened around 2 p.m. on the westbound lanes.  Troopers say a blown tire on an SUV forced the vehicle against the guardrail before clipping a semi. All five people in the SUV were injured in the accident; three of the five suffered serious injuries including a 5-year-old girl.  The injured are from Chicago.

FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. -- The Department of Army civilian employee who died at the scene of an accident on Wednesday was Louis Stallings of Atoka, Okla.   Stallings, 45, was a railroad maintenance vehicle operator for McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in McAlester, Okla., and was conducting maintenance on Fort Leonard Wood's railroad spur when the accident occurred. Circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation by the Army's Criminal Investigation Command.  A safety investigation is also underway by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

HALFWAY, Mo. -- Funeral services are Thursday afternoon for a 7-year-old boy from Halfway who died in an ATV crash in northeast Missouri.  State troopers say the ATV ran off a road and flipped in Adair County on Sunday night, killing Brody Schoonover Gosney.  The driver and a 6-year-old passenger survived. The funeral for Brady is at 2 o'clock at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.  Family will receive friends one hour before the service.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo  -  A major accident on one of Springfield's busiest roads left two people dead, four others hospitalized, and the police are looking for answers. The crash happened at 1:15 Sunday afternoon and left both the northbound and southbound lanes of West Bypass closed until 8:30. The initial crash happened when a van and an SUV heading northbound on West Bypass collided.  The SUV crossed the median and hit a motorcycle head on before also colliding with a pickup. Two more motorcycles traveling southbound tried to avoid the crash but could not and struck the pickup.

WALNUT GROVE, Mo. -- A deadly accident occurs in northern Greene County at about 6am Saturday morning.  Authorities rushed to a vehicle that had crashed and flipped at Highway U and Highway V.  That's just west of Walnut Grove. The driver of that vehicle has died, authorities are trying to contact family members.

CAULFIELD, Mo. -- Investigators say Daniel Truman ran off highway 160 near Caulfield just after midnight.  His car hit a tree.  Truman was 57-years-old.

ROGERSVILLE, Mo. -- A truck being repaired fell on and killed a 78-year-old man in the 6600 block of East Farm Road 186 on Monday.  The accident was at a home. A relative and neighbor found the man's body on Monday afternoon about 4:30.  She found the truck rolled off a ramp and crushed the man.  The time of the accident wasn't known. The Greene County Sheriff's Department will investigate since it was an unattended death, but deputies don't believe anyone else was involved.
