In light of new information from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, we have a correction to make from an earlier article published on Ky3.com.  In the initial report, the Highway Patrol incorrectly stated a motorcyclist ran into a pickup truck. It was actually the pickup truck that hit the motorcycle.  The motorcyclist was stopped in the road waiting to turn left when he was struck from behind.

FORSYTH, Mo -- There is a disturbing trend happening across the country--more teens admit to texting and driving.  Monday, Forsyth High School showed students exactly what can happen when you aren't paying attention behind the wheel. It was only a few years ago that mock accidents were shown to let students know the dangers of drinking and driving. While that is certainly still a very serious issue, it's now texting and driving that causes more deaths every year.  "Once I walked up there and saw my friends, who I've known for several years, actually look like that, it was hard," said mock accident participant and Forsyth student Breeana House.
