CAULFIELD, Mo. -- Investigators say Daniel Truman ran off highway 160 near Caulfield just after midnight.  His car hit a tree.  Truman was 57-years-old.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- It's a story we've reported on several times over the past week.  A sister and brother, Leigh and Matthew Nye, were killed in a car accident near Spokane last Sunday.  Witnesses said an SUV swerving in and out of  traffic contributed to the crash, and the highway patrol told KY3 Thursday, they believe they may have found the SUV; it's driver committed suicide.   Now, a week after the accident, Leigh and Matthew's father spoke with KY3 News about the tragedy.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo-- A driver of a pickup was injured around 1pm Thursday in an accident on I-44 near West Bypass. A tractor trailer hauling onions crashed onto the pickup. The left lanes in both directions had to be shut down. The driver of the pickup truck suffered moderate injuries. Authorities called for a helicopter to take the patient back to the hospital, but when the patient was loaded, a puff of black smoke came out of the helicopter. As a precaution, they decided not to fly the patient out, and loaded him back onto an ambulance and took him to the hospital.

A crash on I-44 near Halltown Sunday morning killed an Arkansas man and shut the interstate down for quite a while. It happened near the 59 mile marker around 7 a.m.  Martin Bard, 65, from Waldren, Arkansas, was killed in the crash. Troopers say it appears a truck Bard was riding in was hit from behind by another vehicle, causing it to skid out of control.  The driver of the truck was taken to a Joplin hospital with moderate injuries. The driver of the vehicle which troopers say hit Bard's truck was not injured.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- An accident at the Paul Mueller Company factory near downtown Springfield killed a newly hired worker on Thursday morning.  A news release from the company said William "Cole" Hambelton died just before 9 a.m. Springfield Police officers, paramedics, and the fire department were called to the loading dock area after a semi truck was backing up to hook onto a trailer and the driver didn't see Hambelton.  "Our thoughts and...

OSCEOLA, Mo. -- A man from Osceola is dead after an accident on the Osage River near Monegaw Springs.  The water patrol says Richard Harrington stood up on his utility boat yesterday, and it capsized.  Investigators say he couldn't make it back to shore, he was 58 years old.  The other person on the boat wasn't hurt.

FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. -- The Department of Army civilian employee who died at the scene of an accident on Wednesday was Louis Stallings of Atoka, Okla.   Stallings, 45, was a railroad maintenance vehicle operator for McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in McAlester, Okla., and was conducting maintenance on Fort Leonard Wood's railroad spur when the accident occurred. Circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation by the Army's Criminal Investigation Command.  A safety investigation is also underway by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Mo. -- Funeral services held Friday afternoon for a man from Birch Tree killed in a logging accident. John Glasscock was cutting trees in Texas County on Tuesday when one fell on him.  Glasscock was 23.  The service will start at one o'clock at the Yarber Mortuary in Mountain View.

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. - Video of a boating accident that happened at Lake of the Ozarks is making the rounds across the Internet this morning. In the video, captured by Lake TV, seven people were aboard a boat when it hit a large wake from a nearby boat of the Ozarks on Friday. Everyone on the boat was knocked off their feet, being thrown back and forth on the boat. Five people suffered what were described as minor to moderate injuries. Those five were taken to Lake Regional Hospital where they were treated.

WALNUT GROVE, Mo. -- A deadly accident occurs in northern Greene County at about 6am Saturday morning.  Authorities rushed to a vehicle that had crashed and flipped at Highway U and Highway V.  That's just west of Walnut Grove. The driver of that vehicle has died, authorities are trying to contact family members.
