HARRISONVILLE, Mo. -- Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler, R – Mo., wants constituents of her Fourth Congressional District to offer their views on possible U.S. military action against Syria.

“Our offices in the Fourth District and in Washington have received hundreds of calls and emails regarding the situation in Syria,” said Hartzler.  “I have deep reservations about the wisdom of launching an attack. I also have doubts about U.S. interests in the matter.”

“Launching military action is one of the most important votes a Member of Congress can make, as it has the potential to put American lives in harm’s way,” she said.  “That is why I want to hear from citizens of the Fourth District on a special telephone conference call on Syria I will host next week.”

The telephone conference call has been scheduled for Monday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. Citizens interested in expressing opinions can call toll-free 1-877-228-2184 and enter event ID 18764.
