HOLLISTER, Mo. - Perched high up on a hill, a new college campus is bringing higher-education to a new level.

“Frankly, it's a big deal for the community.  It is a big deal for us,” stated Dr. Hal Higdon, chancellor for Ozarks Technical Community College.

At OTC’s new Table Rock campus, classrooms and hallways are empty now.  But, it won't stay that way for long.  Students are busy registering for the new semester ahead at OTC’s new Hollister site.  The new $12-million facility replaces an original site operating out of a shopping center in Branson.

The college is also opening a new $5-million campus in Waynesville.

“There is a lot of excitement, there is a lot of anticipation, and of course there is a lot of hard work going on right now,” said Higdon.

The new buildings and expanded programs are creating a lot of anticipation in the communities.  In fact, OTC said enrollment for the 2013 semester is already 30% higher for both the Hollister and Waynesville campuses.
