Baxter County, Ark., man arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. - A Mountain Home, Ark. man faces drug charges after a deputy found suspected drug paraphernalia in the man's vehicle during a traffic stop.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, deputies took Jeremy D. Coleman, 31, into custody after a traffic stop at 7:52 Saturday evening on County Road 28 near Jade Lane. The deputy who pulled Coleman received permission to search Coleman's vehicle and found what was suspected to be methamphetamine, a used syringe and glass pipe that contained residue.

Two passengers in Coleman's vehicle were not taken into custody, the department says.

Coleman was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted $5,000 bond and will make an appearance in court May 9.
