BUFFALO, Mo. -- Some parents are outraged after finding out their teenage girls were secretly videotaped. The taping happened inside the high school.
Because of the sensitive nature of this case, the parents to whom KY3 News spoke didn't want to go on camera, and wanted to remain anonymous. One concerned mother said her daughter discovered the video camera in an overhead vent in a girls bathroom. The girl then alerted a teacher.
The Buffalo School District superintendent said the case is being handled by the Dallas County Sheriff's Department. The sheriffs department issued a news release on Thursday morning that said all the students who were recorded have been identified and their parents have been notified. However, there were no specifics regarding how many students were involved.
The news release also says a "juvenile student has been identified regarding the camera. Upon completion of the investigation, a referral will be bade to the Juvenile Office."
