BRANSON, Mo. -- "PECLB000004094">Andy Williams won't perform the rest of 2012 at his Moon River Theatre on Highway 76.  Williams announced nearly a year ago that he was taking time off to undergo treatment for bladder cancer, but vowed to beat the disease in hopes of returning to the stage.

This is Williams’ 75th anniversary in show business.  His theater's fall schedule includes several of his friends, including Debbie Reynolds, The Osmond Brothers, and Ray Stevens.  The original plan was to have Williams join them on stage from Sept. 10 through Oct. 24, prior to the start of his legendary Christmas Show.

Even though Williams will not perform this fall, he may appear at the theater from time to time to watch a show.  Several additional acts are now scheduled to take his place, including Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., The Lennon Sisters and comedian Paul Harris.

Williams has not been available for comment.
