Lingering Rain
The radar has been active at least somewhere in the Ozarks all afternoon with temperatures checking in below average in the low 80s. Most of the morning rainfall stayed on the northwestern side of the viewing area. Elsewhere, showers have been very isolated with minimal accumulations. Tonight, expect the scattered activity to continue and lows to bottom out in the upper 60s. Monday, there will be a few lingering showers but most of the activity will stay to the south in northern Arkansas. High temperatures will be in the mid and upper 80s.
Tropical Storm Isaac
The projected path of tropical storm Isaac is still a bit uncertain at this time. Depending on where the storm makes landfall will depend on if we see any tropical rainfall here in the Ozarks. The latest models have been bringing Isaac to the coast in the northern Gulf near Mississippi. If this is the case, its possible that is far enough west that the Ozarks will see some rainfall from this system by Friday.
