Man arrested after Kissee Mills bank robbery

KISSEE MILLS. Mo. -- On July 30, 2012 at approx. 12:35 pm., the Taney County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a bank robbery at the First Home Savings Bank at Kissee Mills Jct. 3 miles east of Forsyth on U.S. 160.

Taney County Deputies responded to the bank. Tellers advised that a white male with a t-shirt around his head, wearing shorts, no shoes, had entered the bank and demanded money be placed in a bag. He indicated that he had a gun but none was displayed. The suspect then left walking east on U.S. 160. After a long search in the area, the suspect was not located.

Taney County Deputies, assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, were able to identify the suspect from video from the bank and information from the investigation. At 7:07 pm. Deputies located the suspect on Beaver Creek just off of Patterson Road east of Taneyville. After a brief struggle, the suspect, a 43 year old male from Kissee Mills, was taken into custody. He is currently in the Taney County Jail awaiting the formal filing of charges.

No one was injured in the robbery. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the robbery.
