DADE COUNTY -- Fire crews battled a massive fire on Sunday evening near the small village of Arcola, which is in Dade County between Greenfield and Stockton.
Two fire fighters were treated for minor heat exhaustion; no one was seriously injured.
Authorities said someone was pulling a boat on a trailer when the hitch broke, which caused the trailer to drag down the road setting off sparks and igniting about a half dozen fires down a four mile stretch.
The flames also destroyed some 300 round hay bales that also helped fuel for the blaze.
The trailer and boat were found abandoned.
In Missouri and Arkansas, people are either prohibited from burning, or encouraged not to until we get significant rain.
