LONDON - A familiar face to the Ozarks is giving the world "lights out" coverage of the boxing venue at the Olympic games.
Willard, Missouri's B.J. Flores is part of NBC's Olympic boxing coverage as an in-studio analyst. Flores has previously worked for ESPN for its popular "ESPN Friday Night Fights."
Flores is 27-1-1 as a professional cruiserweight, scoring 17 knockouts in his career. He is No. 2 in the latest World Boxing Organization's ranking. The 33-year-old won the National Golden Gloves light-heavyweight championship as an amateur in 1997.
The former all-state football star at Willard High School has fought several of his professional matches in Springfield.
