Springfield Cardinals fall short of tying franchise record

TULSA, Ok. -- For the second time this season, the Springfield Cardinals has a seven-game winning streak.  For the second time this season, the Springfield Cardinals could not get consecutive win number-eight.

The Tulsa Drillers handed the Cards a 7-0 loss Tuesday night, ending the most recent win streak.

The night saw the Springfield return of right hander Scott Gorgen from Memphis.  Gorgen allowed 3-runs on 6-hits in 5-innings of work.  

Jermaine Curtis had two of Springfield's four hits.  The Springbirds were 0-7 with runners in scoring position.

Same two teams are back at ONEok Ballpark Wednesday night.
