BRANSON, Mo. -- A newspaper in London was first to report entertainment legend Andy Williams is spending his final days in his home here after doctors told him there is nothing more they could do for him. Other entertainment news websites report similar details.
The 84-year-old singer revealed he had bladder cancer last year to an audience at his Moon River Theatre here. The announcement came as he opened a new season.
However, the spokesman for Williams’ theater said in a telephone interview on Monday morning that “those tabloid reports are outdated. Andy has been home quite a while and is doing well."
The spokesman would not comment on Williams’ condition, emphasizing he is not the family’s spokesman.
