SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Fireworks at the Field tickets are now on sale for $7 at area Price Cutter Supermarkets (including the downtown Bistro Market) and the Hammons Field box office. A limited number of tickets will be sold due to the capacity of Hammons Field (approximately 20,000 people), so patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets early.
The admission price the day of the event will be $8 per person. Veterans and active military personnel with an ID can purchase tickets at the gate for $3. Children 5 and under are free.
After drawing 10,000 people in its first year, Fireworks at the Field returns to downtown on July 4 with even more activities! From 3 to 8, patrons will be able to ice skate and play on inflatables from Amberg Entertainment in the Mediacom Ice Park, create art and crafts at The Creamery Arts Center, and enjoy the hands-on activities of the Discovery Center. The Springfield Cardinals will host the Midland Rockhounds at 5 at Hammons Field, followed by a concert from Members Only after the game. The region’s largest fireworks show will begin at Hammons Field at 9:45 pm.
A Fireworks at the Field ticket will provide admission to all activities and include a general admission ticket to the baseball game. City Utilities will offer free shuttles linking all the participating venues and the wide variety of paid and free parking options will be available in the Jordan Valley Park area.
