SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Springfield police are investigating the death of a 2 1/2-year-old boy. According to police the child was admitted to Mercy Hospital Saturday afternoon. He was pronounced dead Sunday morning.
The child's name has not been released. There's no official word yet as to why the boy was admitted to the hospital. Police say they will have more information in this case in the coming days.
