There is a chance for thunderstorms this weekend, both today and tomorrow. It appears as though the best chance for storms today is this afternoon and evening after storms develop in central and eastern Kansas ahead of a cold front. Those storms will generally move toward the Ozarks later today and tonight. There is a slight risk for severe weather in Missouri with the stronger storms.

Thunderstorms could also develop tomorrow in the area but the front will remain to our north. Otherwise, it will be a warm and humid weekend with highs near 90 degrees.

Upper level high pressure will build over the region during the workweek which will limit rain chances and keep temperatures above our mid 80 averages. As of right now it looks like a weak upper disturbance could break down the upper high and bring a front towards the area late in the week. If that occurs we could have thunderstorms on Friday.
