PULASKI COUNTY - A Pulaski County man has been charged with possessing child pornography after an investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies took place.

Joshua Warner, 32, was arrested on a Pulaski County warrant June 5 and charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. An investigation into Warner's activities was conducted by the South Central Missouri Computer Crime Task Force, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Homeland Security.

The investigation centered on peer-to-peer networks -- in which users send files over the Internet to each other using programs installed on their computers -- being used to exchange child abuse images and videos. The sheriff's department and task force both served a search warrant at a home on Highway 28 south of Dixon in Aug. 2011, upon which officers seized computers and optical media for examination.

The examination found a number -- although no specifics were given -- of child abuse video files.
