HOUSTON, Texas - Hogs pitchers proved why they are considered as one of the top staffs in college baseball.

Four Arkansas Razorbacks (42-19) pitchers combined to give up one run, scattering seven hits in a 5-1 win over the Sam Houston State Bearkats (40-22) Houston Regional championship game.  The Hogs advance to the Super Regional next weekend, paired against either Baylor or Dallas Baptist.

Arkansas bats came alive too.  The Hogs scored three runs through the first two innings to set the pace.  Freshman Joe Serrano led the Hogs at the plate, going three-for-four with an RBI.  Matt Reynolds, Matt Vinson and Brian Anderson each added two hits.

The Razorbacks pitching again threw a stellar effort against the Bearkats.  Randall Fant threw 4 1/3 scoreless innings.  Nolan Sanburn threw 2 2/3 innings of hit-less baseball, earning the victory.  Brandon Moore and Colby Suggs pitched the eighth and ninth innings.  Arkansas' pitching staff gave up only one earned run in the three games played in the regional.
