Arkansas Razorbacks: Reynolds leads comeback victory for Hogs in NCAA Regional

HOUSTON, Texas - Arkansas' bats had life late.

Junior Matt Reynolds collected three hits to lead the No. 2 seeded Arkansas Razorbacks (40-19) to a 5-4 comeback victory over No. 3 seeded Sam Houston State (38-21) in game one of the Houston Regional Friday afternoon.  Arkansas will play the winner of No. 1 seeded Rice vs. No. 4 seeded Prairie View A&M.

Arkansas struck first with two runs on only one Reynolds hit in the fourth inning.  Sam Houston State responded with four unearned runs in the top of the fifth inning.  The Hogs committed two errors on two infield ground balls. 

The Razorbacks scored the final three games in the bottom of the seventh inning.  Shortstop Tim Carver had the big hit, a two-run RBI single.

Reliever Brandon Moore worked three innings for the win.  Bearkats starter Caleb Smith took the loss.

The win is Arkansas' fourth straight season with 40 wins or more.
