Good morning!  A storm complex was headed from Kansas into Oklahoma yesterday evening and literally turned and came into the Ozarks.  Heavy rain has resulted in spots along with a lot of lightning and a few power outages.  The rain and storms will continue to move east this morning.  A cold front will be through the Springfield area by around 10 am and the entire Ozarks by shortly after lunch.  The rain will end with the passage of the front, and we could see some sun poking through the cloud deck as well.  In fact, I'm counting on that to boost highs into the lower and middle 70s today.  Skies will become mostly clear tonight and as high pressure builds into eastern Kansas temperatures will drop into the 40s for many locations.  Temps will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s on Friday, but will warm from that point.  Saturday will see highs back into the upper 70s, and Sunday will bring middle 80s.  A few storms may fire up again on Sunday and Monday, but an upper ridge again takes control for the rest of next week with highs back to around 90 by Wednesday.
