OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mizzou baseball took its own parting shot to the Big 12 Conference.

Shortstop Eric Garcia went 2-4 to lead the No. 6 seeded Missouri Tigers to an 8-7 victory over the No. 4 seeded Oklahoma Sooners in the championship game of the Big 12 Tourney Sunday.  It is Mizzou's first Big Tourney title in its final year in the league.  The win earns the Tigers an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament, with the field announced Monday.

Missouri jumped out early in the first inning against Oklahoma starter Darren Magnifico.  Mizzou scored four runs in the opening inning.  The Tigers extended the lead to 6-2 in the top of the fifth inning.  The Sooners fought back, tying the game in the sixth inning at 7-7.  Mizzou's Blake Brown scored the game-winning run in the eighth inning on a bases-loaded double-play.  The game ended on an interference call on a single up the middle.
