24-hour forecastSatellite & RadarWind Chill Allergy IndexAlmanac Good morning. Typically cold fronts in May have a bit more fanfare with them. Yesterday there were a handful of showers along the weak cold front, and most of those were just outside of the viewing area. The front is very difficult to find on the surface map this morning and may have in fact already dissipated. Regardless we're in for a warm day again today with highs in the lower 80s in much of Missouri and middle 80s in Arkansas. Yesterday West Plains set a new record high of 88, and it could be similar again today. In fact, upper level ridging and warming temperatures aloft suggest some low 90s will be possible by Friday and especially Saturday. A cold front will move in on Sunday and interact with a slight increase in moisture to provide a chance of scattered showers and storms. This doesn't look like the soaking rain we need, but any chance is a good chance. Temperatures will dip slightly for Monday and Tuesday, but we'll be right back in the 80s by Wednesday.
