TULSA, Ok. - Mizzou is becoming "Transfer U" for college hoops.
University of Tulsa sophomore guard Jordan Clarkson announced Monday he is transferring to the University of Missouri. He will have to sit out next season.
"Mizzou! Blessed to be part of the Tiger family," wrote Clarkson on Twitter. "Appreciate all of the love!!!"
Clarkson averaged 16.5 points per game, grabbing nearly four rebounds in his sophomore season. The scoring guard asked for his scholarship release after Tulsa hired new Head Coach Danny Manning. He prepped at Wagner High School in San Antonio, Texas.
Mizzou Head Coach Frank has added several transfers to the roster for next season, including former UCONN forward Alex Oriakhi and Pepperdine guard Keion Bell.
