Potentially Severe Storms Tonight

Another hot afternoon across the Ozarks with high temperatures in the upper 80s.  Changes are on the way in the forecast, though.  Tonight, a cold front will start making its way toward the viewing area and showers and thunderstorms will develop out ahead of the front and along it.  The atmosphere is very unstable so some of these storms could be severe and produce very strong winds and large, damaging hail.  Expect lows tonight in the mid and upper 60s.

Cooler Temperatures This Week

Showers and thunderstorms will continue over into Monday as the cold front pushes southeast.  It should make its way through the Ozarks by Monday evening.  Temperatures behind this front will return the afternoon highs and overnight lows to near normal for this time of the year.  Expect highs in the 70s the rest of the workweek.

Have a great evening,
