Crime Stoppers fugitive of the week Gregory Bass is in custody

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Gregory Bass was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, just a couple of hours after Crime Stoppers of Greater Springfield featured him as its Fugitive of the Week.  Bass was wanted in Greene County for absconding from parole (on a conviction of first-degree tampering and second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer), driving while license revoked, failure to display license renewal tags, and stealing.  Police say the arrest was not a result of a Crime Stoppers tip.

People with information about felonies can call Crime Stoppers at (417) 869-TIPS (8477).  You may also submit your information securely on-line at www.tipsubmit.com.  You do not have to give your name and no attempt is made to find out who you are.

Crime Stoppers takes information about drug dealers, wanted felons, and all other felonies.  It pay srewards of up to $1,000 in cash for the information that leads to the arrest and the filing of charges against people involved in felonies.
