SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Six people are hospitalized after an accident on James River Freeway.

The chain reaction crash happened last night in the eastbound lane near the Glenstone exit.  Construction caused traffic to slow, when a distracted driver rear-ended the car in front of it.  Authorities say that's when another driver slowed down to look at that crash and slammed into the back of a fourth vehicle.

None of the injuries are life-threatening.
